Summary

Is Moscow pulling the strings? Urgent, topical and shot through with insider knowledge, this is thriller writing on a grand scale.

Russian counterintelligence chief Colonel Dominika Egorova has been a recruited asset of the CIA - stealing Kremlin secrets for her handler, Nate Nash - for over seven years. In the dazzling finale of the Red Sparrow trilogy, their forbidden and tumultuous love affair continues, mortally dangerous for them both but irresistible.

In Washington, a newly installed administration is selecting its cabinet members. Dominika hears whispers of a closely held Kremlin operation to place a mole in a high intelligence position. If the Kremlin's candidate is confirmed, the Russians will have access to all the names of assets spying for the CIA in Moscow, including Dominika's.

Dominika recklessly immerses herself in the palace intrigues of the Kremlin, searching for the mole's identity and stealing as many of President Putin's secrets for her CIA handlers as she can before her time runs out.

With a plot ripped from tomorrow's headlines, The Kremlin's Candidate is a riveting listen and a thrilling conclusion to the trilogy that began with Red Sparrow and Palace of Treason.

Stunning Dramatic Stylish.

Excruciatingly difficult to stop listening, real characters for me, I wondered what was happening to them when I wasn't able to be their with them. The climax is real on the edge of your seat stuff.

Excellent, but crushed at the ending!

I read the trilogy straight through and loved every page. Domi and Nash's love story ( i was so invested) felt so real, i could taste their passion. Gripping plot twists, masterful storytelling and a wonderful read.
Highly recommended book

Amazing conclusion

Love the story and the characters, fitting twist conclusion. Narrator a little stilted and boring advise speed up a bit to give it more pace

Needs a better reader

What did you like most about The Kremlin's Candidate?

Good, interesting story.

What did you like best about this story?

Mostly gripping, with fewer detailed sex scenes than in the previous two books, which seemed like simple padding.

How could the performance have been better?

A better reader who understands how not to maintain a boring tone and how to pronounce borrowed foreign words.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

She's a killer who loves her country enough to betray its government.

Extremely enjoyable and satisfying trilogy

The final book in the trilogy is very well written with well developed characters that one has come to know and support. The narrative moves along at a nice pace and complex sub-plots. I particularly enjoyed the introduction of Agnes, the Polish-American spy and her interaction with Dominika, now the Director of SVR. The ending was very satisfying because I didn’t see it coming. I will miss these characters unless Jason Matthews changes his mind and writes another novel.

Brilliant

I was intrigued by red sparrow,so I read book two and three. So good is the story and it’s reading that I’m disappointed it’s over. The Kremlins candidate leaves you wanting more, I’ve recommended it to friends who also love it.
