Summary
The thrilling alternative history saga returns! Perfect for fans of Dan Brown, Philippa Gregory, Kate Mosse and Tom Harper.
Marquess House is under threat…
London, 1527
Nineteen-year-old Jane Seymour arrives at court to take her place with Queen Katherine of Aragon. Discovering a court already beginning to divide into factions between Katherine and Jane's second cousin, Anne Boleyn, Jane finds herself caught between the old world and the new. Determined to have a son, the king appears to be prepared to take whatever steps he deems necessary to secure the Tudor dynasty.
When King Henry VIII finally succeeds in his pursuit of Anne, Jane witnesses the slow unravelling of his interest in the new queen as she, too, fails in her task to deliver a son. Having watched both Katherine and Anne fall from grace, Jane has no ambition for the throne, but when the king begins seeking her out, Jane realises the decision may be out of her hands…
Pembrokeshire, 2020
When a set of papers called The Pentagram Manuscript makes its way to Perdita and Piper at Marquess House, they find they have a new mystery to unravel. The manuscript is the tale of five women on a quest to find true love, written while Anne Boleyn was queen. As Perdita begins to unravel the text, she discovers a code that leads to a whole new outlook on Henry's relationship with Jane Seymour.
But before they have a chance to reveal all, the twins find themselves under threat from a different source. Their second cousin, Xavier Connors, is determined to wrest Marquess House from them. As Marquess House must be passed down through the female line, and Perdita and Piper do not have children, Xavier sees his twin daughter as being next in line. And when Piper is nearly driven off the road, they realise he will stop at nothing to get what he wants…
What really happened to Henry VIII's Tudor queens? Why was history rewritten?
Will Piper and Perdita be able to unravel all of the secrets before it's too late…?

A brilliant....
listen from start to finish especially with the characters and antics within the book, it made it seem more realistic instead of fiction. The narrator was very good at using different voices for the characters.

An amazing end!
Wow, Alexandra it has been an absolute honour to follow Perdita ans Piper on their journey since getting the Marquess House. They way you managed to bring it back around to Jane was fantastic. Ive never heard or read an account of Jane the way she was portrayed in this book but I like her A LOT! (Apart from a lil snippet in Wolf Hall) And it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if she was actually like that, you gotta do what you gotta do to survive. The story was written so well and as I said it’s amazing that you brought it back to Jane and it was a fun intense story, with a great ending, it made me tear up.. I can’t wait to try some more of your work. Hope and Mermaids Always

A gripping and inteligent read.
I have enjoyed all the Marquis House storys. I feel i would love to explore the house and all its unusual features. I admire the research that must have gone into writing the story, though i have to admmit i got a bit lost with so many names and family trees, but it didn’t really matter, i really felt i was in the palace and could almost smell the rich perfumes and the fear of the women. It’s so good toe hear history, or imagined history, from the womens point of view. And Emma Gregorys reading with all the differenst voices was fabulous. I hope there are more to come. I shall be looking out for them.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Most listened to stories in my library. Thank you.
Nothing to dislike. Great narration and totally excellent stories in this series. Gutted that I’ve finished them. Really didn’t want them to end. I’ve listened to over a hundred books in my time and enjoyed them all but these are my favourites by a country mile.

Excellent absolutely Excellent!!
Oh how I will miss these books!
I’ve relished every minute of all 4 books and am truly sad they’ve come to an end. I stopped listening in the last chapter for 2 days to prolong the story!!! Never done that before.
I’d recommend these books to anyone even those who are not history buffs like myself.
More please Ms.Walsh!!
My only critique was the narrators change of characters voices. Obviously they were narrated over quite a long period, but all the main characters voices were completely different in the 4th book, especially kit and pipers. I will admit this jarred me and I wondered if the narrator has bothered to listen to herself reading any of the other books in the series she’d narrated. Piper was winey and kit voice and tone was so completely different I thought he was a new character at first.
Just a quick note to the narrator please don’t change the characters voices!! It affects the listeners whole experience. Your an excellent narrator your accents are second to none and you bring the characters alive in a way few narrators do, but please don’t change the voices of established characters and certainly not in book 4!!!
Many thanks to the author for hours of wonderful story telling and a wonderful imagination. I’m sad to reach the end of the journey!
A true new fan!!

Wonderful
I really like how they have linked back to Henry viii time before the first book on Catherine Howard and how it ties up lots of loose ends, I’m really happy for Perda and Piper
