About this listen

My name is Andrew McCarthy. You may have heard of me. Or heard whispers about me. I’m the man your nightmares are made of. I’m the man who is the source of your fantasies. I’m the devil in the darkness. I’m the man of your dreams.

Desire and darkness. Fantasy and fear. I am the head of the McCarthy mob. Anything I want, I get. And the first time I see her - Kyra Bahmer - I know she belongs to me. I know I will have her.

And the men who think they can take her from me? I will kill them all. Because, no one stands in my way. No one comes between me and what’s mine. No one harms my family. Because, I’m the Irishman. And Kyra Bahmer is going to be my wife.

She just doesn’t know it yet.

Warning: This book is a dark romance. The hero is not your typical hero. He is a bad guy. He will not be redeemed from the illegal, violent things that he does. This book contains explicit violence, extremely rough sex, mentions of child abuse and sexual assault, and drug use/abuse which may be triggering for some listeners. It is intended for adults 18 and above. You have been warned.

Just okay for me. 💜

This story had great potential and addresses racism and other great issues however, I feel like there was not enough story to go with all the hot sex and murders.
The narration was fantastic.
This is book 1 and continues in the next book.

Irish Mob Boss

The Irishman is the fabulous mafia romance and an excellent start to the series. The storyline is involved and engaging; I was captivated from beginning to end. The characters are well-developed with genuine depth to their personalities. An outstanding performance by Jonathan Waters, I absolutely love his voice. With his telling, he brought the characters and the story to life. Overall, this was a very enjoyable listen, and I highly recommend it.

Irish

Jonathan Waters , wow. Your Irish accent, was spot on. You nailed it. It is one of my pet hates, when someone does a Irish accent and comes out Scottish. Jonathan Waters did a brilliant, with the accent and narration of the story.

Andrew McCarthy as the head of the Irish mob, and though not looking for a woman, well that is until he sees Kyra Bahmer . Kyra is a strong, woman, heading her own crew, Her crew are all women, Two very strong alpha characters. So good together.

Hot hot hot scenes . Oh yes hot.

The Irishman

This book was not what I expected. This was a new author to me. i really enjoyed this book. Andrew is the Irish Mob Boss and he instantly is attracted to Kira. Kira is no stranger to the dark side of Andrew"s world. She is the Head bad Bitch of Boston. Even though their worlds are intertwined, they couldn't be more different. But somehow they beat diversity and unite their two groups of people to make a stronger unit. This is the first book in the series. I can't wait to find out what will happen next. Jonathan Waters did a great job narrating.

Action packed and full of steam!

If you love mafia like I do, you will enjoy this story. The Irishman is features Andrew McCarthy as the head of the Irish mob, and though not looking for a woman, he spots Kyra Bahmer and claims her for his own. Kyra is a strong, black woman, heading her own crew, but hers is a little different from Andrew's. It's all women, and boy are they strong! As their relationship flourishes, there are some rumblings in the McCarthy family about Andrew's choices, as we find out the true meaning of family and the secrets that are being kept. Will Andrew and Kyra's love survive? These two alpha characters are so good together. It's the butting of the heads and high level banter leading to the extreme passion they have that make the story move. It's full of action, and shows us how you never know where you will find love or with whom. It's a fast paced, desirable listen!

With the mention of the Irish mafia, I was anxious to hear Jonathan Waters with an Irish accent, and he nails it! I loved him as Andrew and the various characters. He pulls off that alpha male with ease and quickly transitions to Kyra with an attitude to match. He makes this story worth the listen!
