Summary
Abandoned at Chipchase’s Travelling Circus as a baby, Louie dreams of becoming a showstopper, a tightrope walker--The Girl Who Walked on Air--she just needs to be given a chance. And the circus needs her, too--Wellbeloved’s rival show is stealing their crowds.

A sweet coming of age story
Overall this is a sweet tale. A girl abandoned by her mother, dreaming of being a showstopper always coming up against naysayers until unexpectedly she has her chance.
Lots of adventures and many anxieties follow.
Louie is too irritating and too naive for credibility given her upbringing. Certainly there are inconsistencies and contradictions. But she is a fairly strong centre around which the story flows.
For me the ending lets this book down but I'll say no more to avoid spoilers.
Having said that it is a pleasant listen and a reminder that we all have dreams but they usually come with obstacles.

Sensational.
I just loved it. I was listening to it last night but I couldn't get to sleep it was so exciting!
The only thing is that the characters weren't quite as I had imagined them in my head.

A great read
I enjoyed every minute of this story. With its twists and turns i was fascinated as the main character unfolded on every page. The story made a welcome change of content and story plot. No magic: waving of wands, but a human story with insight and intelligence
Bought for my granddaughter but listened to by me, and then onto my granddaughter who also lived it too.

beautiful story and so well read
My 10 year old daughter and I loved listening to this wonderful book. She said it is the best book she's ever read and that it is thrilling and exciting but full of magic at the same time! My son joined in half way through and was also hooked. It is a lovely empowering story and one I'd highly recommend!

Extraordinary
An original price of writing, that captures they imagination of the reader. Written in the perspective of a young girl who will stop at nothing to uncover the truth.
A thrilling and Enjoyable read. With a spectacular ending and a brilliant story line. I would highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys Excitement, originality , twists and being lost in a story for hours on end.
