About this listen
DIETING DOESN’T WORK
Not long term. In fact, our bodies are hardwired against it. But each time our diets fail, instead of considering that maybe our ridiculously low-carb diet is the problem, we wonder what’s wrong with us.
But it’s time we called a spade a spade: Constantly trying to eat the smallest amount possible is a miserable way to live, and it isn’t even working. So f*ck it.
Caroline Dooner tackles the inherent flaws of dieting and diet culture, and offers readers a simple path to healing their physical, emotional, and mental relationship with food. What’s the secret anti-diet? Eat. Whatever you want. Trust that your body knows what it is doing. Oh, and don’t forget to rest, breathe, and be kind to yourself.
Irreverent and empowering, The F*ck It Diet is call to arms for anyone who feels guilt or pain over food, weight, or their body. It’s time to give up the shame and start thriving. Welcome to the F*ck It Diet. Let’s Eat.

"The F*ck It Diet is not only hilarious, it is scientifically and medically sound. A must read for any chronic dieter." (Christiane Northrup, MD, New York Times best-selling author of Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom)
"There is only one Caroline Dooner. She is funny and wise and unafraid to call bullshit where she sees it. And diet culture is nothing but bullshit. That's why we're lucky to have someone like her, reminding us all that it is possible to break the diet cycle - and while it may be hard, it's not necessarily complicated. Sometimes it really is as simple as saying, 'f*ck it.'" (Kelsey Miller, author of Big Girl: How I Gave Up Dieting and Got a Life)

I had to hear her say it
I had briefly read her blog, thought I understood this concept perfectly and agreed with it, because that was what I really needed after 20yrs of obsessing and dieting and finally reaching my lowest weight (BMI about 18) and still being misreable and hungry. I was trying to do this on my own for about a year but still could not let go my old habits, thoughts, beliefs. Still feeling guilt when I eated and was afraid of gaining weight.
After I heard her say it out loud- "you are allowed to eat" - I feel sooo free.

Excellent anti-diet book.
Excellent book with the tools you need to sack diet culture and live a more peaceful life with food. Lots of information on why we have bad relationships with food, and how we can change that. A good mix of empathy and humour. Thank you Caroline.

Life changing book
Absolutely bloody brilliant book... TOTALLY LIFE CHANGING. Caroline has summarised the somewhat bewildering area of intuitive eating and body acceptance movement and put it into an easy to understand format. I’ve read many books on the subject but for anyone new to this area who is SICK TO THE BACK TEETH OF DIETING this is a brilliant first book! TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT 👍👍

No nonsense ant diet guide. Frank, and inspiring!
Loved this. as someone in recovery who is struggling, this is what I needed to hear. I could relate so well, even to some of the silly tactics used not to eat. Loved it!

The need to eat for life!!
I loved it all. Enabled me to join the dots together and see the picture of my whole life’s nutritional deficits. To see the story of my emotional, psychological, cognitive and physiological, neurological and spiritual starvation. I am a psychotherapist and would highly recommend this book for eating disorders. Thank you

Very interesting
Very interesting and refreshing and I have learnt alot. The only problem is the fear of fat is so ingrained in society and sadly myself I fear I won't be able to let it go. This is not the fault of the book but myself. I'll consider it work in progress and this book is an excellent guide.
