shame about the narration

good descriptions, flowing storyline, memorable characters - all rendered dull and two-dimensional by the uninspired narration.

Good first part.

Enjoyed this book.
Buffy finds himself attracted to a woman a lot younger than

Buffy meets a woman a lot younger than himself and wonders why he is so attracted to her after all she's young enough to be his daughter.
She is interested in him and his ex-wives.
Enjoyable, well written with some funny bits and well performed by Diana bishop.

Great characters, good performance

I have always enjoyed this author's books but found that for me, this one ran out of steam.
Disappointing end.

Lovely book

We like Buffy, old fashioned dinosaur that he is and the relationships with his usually, much cleverer than he is, wives and girlfriends. It the authors observations of being human and laughing (out loud) at ones own ridiculousness, especially as we get older/have children with minds and lives of their own that appeals to me, I think. It's just a very well written, pleasant listen that I go back to from time to time because it's clever and nicely done.

started well

Couldn't get to the end of this, I loved Heartbreak hotel but have taken a dislike to Buffy in this one.
