About this listen

The electrifying fourth installment in the Bridge Kingdom series.

Newly crowned as king, Keris has watched, powerless, as his forbidden relationship with Zarrah is revealed. But when Zarrah is imprisoned by the empress, Keris knows there is only one way to save her: to ally with the kingdom he nearly destroyed.

Imprisoned on the dreaded Devil’s Island, Zarrah faces two choices: prove her loyalty to the empress who condemned her or die a traitor. Yet as she struggles to survive among violent prisoners, Zarrah uncovers a third path: a rebellion to overthrow tyranny entwined with a destiny she must fight to claim.

While the empress plots a war with devastating consequences, Keris and Zarrah must find their way back to each other. Yet their greatest adversary is the fiery passion between them. Unless they overcome the bitterness of betrayal, their love will not be the bringer of peace but rather the fuel that turns the Endless War into an inferno.

AMAZING

It's the only word I can use to describe this book. It was just amazing. Keris and Zarrah's story is amazing. I loved Lara and Aren and their snippets in the book but I think I was equally won over by this. Keris's relationship with his family, with his father, the harem and his lost sisters was just beautiful to read and felt like an intricate tapestry being changed, mended and at times pulled apart. The scenes with him and Sarah were too cute. Zarrah her journey on discovering her heritage and what her parents fought for was incredible. I loved her determination and her internal fight over whether to choose the crown or herself. I recommend this series to anyone who can get their hands on it. 10/10

Like the book can't say I love it

I like to book as much as I can even though The Bridge Kingdom was the best. Kerris is fucking idiot he’s doing everything for selfish reasons and I hate it even though I want to listen to the book because I have read others one truth to be told he is a bastard.

Highly recommend

I've much enjoyed reading this series. This conclusion had my heart skipping and stalling, the perfect enemies to lovers story. Books 1 & 2 were great, and though I struggled with getting into book 3, I'm so glad I did, cos this conclusion was absolutely amazing. So many times I tried to figure out how the matter would be resolved and in all instances, they were brought to brilliant and satisfying solutions.

Highly recommend.

Great end to a great series

I’d listen to these 4 books all over again. Great narration, and fabulous characters - I’ll recommend this series time and time again

She did it again

The Bridge Kingdom is my all time favorite book series. I have lost count of how many times I’ve re-read and re-listened to them. Danielle never fails to keep me on my toes with anticipation of what is gonna happen next (this includes her other series as well). Kiers’ and Zarrah’s chemistry and love for each other as well as for their countries and people help drive the plot and made it hard to put the book on pause. The Endless War has a good balance of romance and political plot, neither overshadowing the other. Danielle expands the world I love in such a nice and natural way.
I enjoy it when I’m able to predict some aspects of the book with the foreshadowing and hints that are given, but also when there are twist and turns that never crossed my mind - this book (series really) check both these boxes for me.
At the end of Inadequate Heir I truly didn’t know how it would be solved - both Zarrah and Kiers were in deep - but Danielle did it perfectly.
I can’t wait for the next two books, I need more of this amazing and captivating world and its characters.

This one was very heavy on the politics but I loved it! Everything tied together beautifully. Whole series is a must listen.

Absolutely brilliant

This was another absolutely brilliant book, not as good as the other 3 but still amazing. Loved every second of it, I loved both Zarrah and Keris very very much. And loved having the characters of the previous books.
Narrators were good but I would prefer if they read the dialogue according to the respective genders. The female narrators voice for the men wasn't masculine enough.
Now a long wait till we get the next duology of Arna and the Herendellen prince. Can't wait!!
