About this listen
The Japanese phenomenon that teaches us the simple yet profound lessons required to liberate our real selves and find lasting happiness.
The Courage to Be Disliked shows you how to unlock the power within yourself to become your best and truest self, change your future and find lasting happiness. Using the theories of Alfred Adler, one of the three giants of 19th-century psychology alongside Freud and Jung, the authors explain how we are all free to determine our own future - free of the shackles of past experiences, doubts and the expectations of others.
It's a philosophy that's profoundly liberating, allowing us to develop the courage to change and to ignore the limitations that we and those around us can place on ourselves. The result is an audiobook that is both highly accessible and profound in its importance. Millions have already benefited from its wisdom. Now that The Courage to Be Disliked has been published in English, so can you.
Please note: This is a recording of the 2018 print edition.

Enjoyable and learned some things
Whilst the performance is a bit contrived as the narrator has to switch between two voices, I enjoyed this book. It was a reminder to me of what I am in control of and what I am not, and that includes whether people like me or not.
A recommended listen.

excellent thought provoking book
My immediate reaction was one of scepticism when I realised it was a discourse between the two characters however it rapidly became obvious that it is an excellent engaging way to address the topics covered. Although at times I did find some of the banter rather contrived.
Over all this is a genuine must read for anyone for who is looking for an alternative to Jungian/Freudian psychology. The chapters of the book follow cohesively and make for a fascinating and mentally stimulating experience.
The narrator also does a great job flicking between the two voices and has a well pared voice for the text.

Awesome
I had never heard of Adler and found this conversation fascinating. I highly recommend to anyone interested in psychology, philosophy, happiness...in fact anyone who has the desire to learn.

Excellent
This book is in the format of a conversation between a young man and a philosopher about the fundamentals of Adlerian psychology. It works very well in an audio format. It’s thought provoking and very interesting. I’d highly recommend it.
