A PAINFUL SECRET
Imogen loves her job as an events organiser, and her colleagues are in awe of her. But Imogen isn’t the person she pretends to be, and she’s hiding painful truths about her past. But as long as she can keep on top of her work, Imogen can put everything else to one side.
AN ACT OF KINDNESS
And then Imogen makes a catastrophic mistake at work, and finally realises it's time to reset. When her favourite client, Dorothy, invites her to spend Christmas with her and her family, in her cottage in the Cotswolds, it sounds like the perfect way for Imogen to take stock.
FINDING HAPPINESS AT CHRISTMAS
Imogen soon settles into idyllic cottage life, especially with the prospect of a new romance on the horizon … but when long-buried secrets and unwanted faces from the past resurface, Imogen’s new peace is threatened. Will Imogen end up alone this Christmas, or can she find it in her heart to forgive and move on?

Ten out Ten
Sarah you have outdone yourself. I will admit that the beginning took me a while to get into it but once I did I was hooked.
Potential listeners.
This is not a soppy romantic Santa filled book.
It is however a book that tells of the two sides of Christmas.
In reality there are people at Christmas with no family and then the other side where it’s the most important time to gather as a family.
This is book that is timeless and I look forward to it being my regular start the Christmas reading off each year. Toast to Sarah Morgan and all the Imogen’s in the world

A rollercoaster of emotions
I’m glad I read this before Christmas as there were parts I found quite tough and sad I think if I’d have read it nearer Christmas I’d have been a blubbering wreck until I’d finished it! I didn’t really warm to the main character, Imogen at first but as the story progresses, you understand why she is like she is and what a lovely character she turns out to be!
A great book and fantastic start to the festive period.

Brilliant book
This story was great. Imogen went from overworked and leading a lonely life in London, her work place friends thought she had a wonderful full life but the fact was she was alone with a hostile mother and so she’d made up a fictional life so they didn’t pity her. After her mother almost ruined her career by yet another selfish action Sarah’s boss makes her take a leave of absence so her friend Dorothy invites her to use a cottage in the Cotswolds over the month of December. What happens next you’ll have to listen to the story but I guarantee you’ll be left full of the joys of Christmas.
