About this listen

From his exile from The Seven to his escape from an insidious cult, The Deep tells all in this companion to the hit Prime Video series The Boys.

He may be Lord of the Seven Seas, but for The Deep, life has been a tsunami of humiliations and setbacks. After braving the childhood trauma of being the weird kid with gills, Deep rose to the very top, basking in worldwide fame with Earth’s most powerful superheroes. But his public glory masked the disrespect of his teammates who crushed him, day after day. When he found himself patrolling the streets of Sandusky, Ohio, and then swallowed up into the Church of the Collective, Deep realized he had plummeted even deeper than the Mariana Trench.

Now, Deep—on the road promoting his memoir, Deeper—is sitting down for a no-holds-barred podcast interview. With his wife, Cassandra, by his side, Deep dives to the very depths of his soul and lays bare everything that has made him the fish-guy he is today.

Season three of The Boys is available now on Prime Video.

Now available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

The Deep

I really enjoyed this. It's set up in the style of a radio interview. The Deep and his wife are discussing events that have happened. At times it's raw and brings vulnerability to The Deep and at other times it's his cringey usual self. It had ups and downs and plenty of funny moments. Well worth a listen if you're a fan of The Boys. I'd love if they did this with other characters. It also was perfect that the actual Deep actor was the voice... my brain dislikes when it's not the right person voicing the characters

I hope they make more.

This podcast proves that The Deep is very stupid.

I like how they use the Voight ads in between and I hope they will make more of these podcasts with the characters from the TV series.

Much better than expected

Went in expecting some crude filler as a show promo, but it was surprisingly sympathetic and interesting.

Cringe and yet full of heart

wonderful parody of talk podcasts that still has depth... one could say deeper than expected.

I truly appreciate the other side you get of this character who truly is flawed in ways that are believable and relatable. It is cringy, and yet you can't help but point out that he's doing nothing worse than some other celebrities of our world.

Very deep

for fans of 'the boy's' only, short interview with the deep who is a bit of a dick, brilliantly played by Chase Crawford.

Excellent and Hilarious

So funny and an excellent companion to 'The Boys' TV series. Chace Crawford sends up his character 'The Deep' exceptionally well, and his anecdotes will have you in hysterical laughter. I lost a close friend of mine recently and this was just the tonic I needed to cheer me up and make me laugh.

Great for fans of The Boys!

Well performed and interesting, giving a ‘deeper’ (🤣) insight into The Deep! I particularly liked the ‘adverts’.

Great for fans of the boys

This was well performed and well thought out. Really enjoyed it. The pod cast links well to the third series of the boys

A great piece of in-universe content

While The Deep continues the book tour for his "best-selling" memoir, he attends a vought-run podcast interview.
It boils down to a character exploration of The Deep where Chace is given the spotlight for an hour. If you enjoy that particular performance, you're in luck. It does run the risk of becoming grating otherwise.
