Easy read.
Easy read. Some of Montefiore’s books have an unsatisfactory ending but this end was good. Some parts are a bit long winded, but not so much you want to forward wind.
Narration was so good I had to check it was definitely read by just the one person.

Amazing
I’ve just about saturated all of Santa’s books and I kind of left this one to the end not sure why really
But this is a fantastic read , highly recommended the characters are fantastic and it takes you to the places within the book
That you imagine you are actually there .
One of her best writes !!

Glad I stuck with it
I was ready to return this as I found the early chapters verbally annoying however once I got past this part really enjoyed the story and the narrator

Beautifully extended romance
A really enjoyable listen. The author tied the events of the two generations and two locations beautifully up with a great big romantic ribbon. The narrator did the voices very well & I had no difficulty with who was who, which is something I often stumble on. Kept me entertained on a long-haul flight with a few wee screamers! Comforting. I would recommend.

A nice story
I eventually enjoyed this story, as it came to its conclusion, however found it slow to get going, I would recommend that you bear with it as all improves.
