Summary
Felix would like nothing more than to take a vacation. A long one. One where he didn’t have to wake up every morning and worry over casualty lists for the day.
Ever since he and the Legion had been forced to flee their headquarters four years previous, nothing had gone quite right. In fact, Felix and the Legion have been locked in a shadow war with enemies unknown. Ones with magic that could carve through their technology easily.
As the rest of the world fell apart, tearing itself to pieces at every turn with the return of the old gods, the Legion has held the chaos back. The price in blood has been climbing slowly, lately.
Felix suspects there’s a change on the horizon. One that he hasn’t prepared or developed a plan for. Or so his paranoia has been telling him. That there’s a change coming now that’ll shake up the world. One that will turn it inside out, Legion and Felix along with it.
Felix has decided it’s time to push ahead and act. To finish things and protect his people at the same time. To take his Legion and make it safe.
Because that’s all that matters in the end to him. His Legion. And it always came first.
Warning and minor spoiler: This novel contains graphic violence, undefined relationships/harem, unconventional opinions/beliefs, and a hero who is as tactful as a dog at a cat show. Listen at your own risk.

Different Ending to a trilogy
Enjoyable trilogy and it brings his anagram author Randi Darren trilogy into frame, it will be interesting to see what the next wild wastes installment holds as the 2 cousins/brothers join forces to face the pantheons. Nick Podehl brilliant again as usual.

Strength-to-strength!
Another great book in the series and I feel it's a coming of age book too. This book is focused mainly on characters, their progression and the development of on going plots.
There is still some great action sequences but I feel Mr Arand is becoming an excellent author and this shows in the depth of the characters and plotlines.
By the end I was once again thirsty for more!

Just wow
Fantastic contribution to the universe, so glad I finished the wild waste series before listening to the 3rd super sale book.
It ties every thing together and also answers a few questions. It also leaves you with a lot more. And where the series goes next.
I would recommend this and the whole series to every one. Otherlife, and wild wastes are a must to get the complete experience.
Can't wait to see what comes next.

Another nice work.
It is still nice to see Randi Darren and William D. Arand continue to cross their worlds in this book.
Slightly different then his previous two books, but I like it.
He remembers that just because you come from one place with a certain mindset, does not meen that other places have the same one.
SPOILERS AND RECOMMENDATIONS!
To understand what has happend in this book, read these book series, first to last one:
Otherlife by William D. Arand

engrossing and frustrating
nick does a fantastic job narrating yet another excellent entry in this series. politics and drama abound, though the story becomes a bit frustrating as you scream at the characters falling for a fairly obvious setup and not just taking the easy options.
the action and characters as ever are tightly presented, the writing crisp and the plot direct.
the only frustration is that the end game feels like a repeat of the last book where Felix is once again stranded. and his core cast of characters seem to have little situational awareness (his allies moving into dangerous areas to greet him and then getting ambushed...) for the sake of driving the plot.
my only real complaint is that this story has moved away from supervillains and heroes battling around clever power setups, straight into godly metaphysical battles that rather frustrate the stakes. twining it with Wastes is fun but feels like a consolidation of the two stories
I'll definitely listen to the next in the series, just hoping for some prolonged wins for Felix as well!

Brilliant
Totally engrossing! I Know these characters so well by the story line and narration. There's a twist I wasn't expecting... Hopefully a 4th book at some point!
