Summary

Elliot Richardson thought he’d lost everything.

He’d come home from deployment to find his wife cheating on him, his sons strangers and his life in tatters. Driving away, unsure where he was going, he fell through an interdimensional rift and found himself in a very different world, a city of magic and mystery and dangers beyond his comprehension, a land spinning out of control. Innovations from the distant west unsettle the monarchy and challenge the position of the aristocrats and warlords who hold the kingdom in their grasp.

Powerless and alone, with no way home, Elliot struggles to survive long enough to make a new life. But as war looms on the horizon, he finds himself forced to use his skills to make a name for himself, all too aware that the slightest slip will mean instant death–or worse.

Note: You do not need to have listened to the Schooled in Magic series to follow this story, as it is largely disconnected from the original books, but–if you have been following the series–Stuck in Magic starts shortly after Oathkeeper.

More great stories in a great universe

Really enjoyed this. Looking forward to the next one. Does make me want to carry around a practical guide to modern technology just in case. I would be no better than either Elliott or Emily without Google!

Another gripping story

I really enjoyed this different perspective of the nameless world. At some point he must meet Emily. As always, gripping writing from Christopher Nuttall.

Another brilliant spin off

The schooled in magic and zero series reeled me in but Christopher’s fantastic writing keeps me coming back another great story can’t wait for more.

"Couldn't put it down"

I really loved this story. I've listened to Nuttall's series "The Zero Curse" which I thought was brilliant, I really like his writing, you never get bored. This story is a little more adult and magic is more of a sideline, once you accept the premise it's really not so fantastical. That said, it's a gripping story and I can't wait for book two. (No need to read any of his previous books to enjoy this one).
