About this listen

They thought they knew what really happened—and each other. They were wrong.

Four years in, Stevie and Nate’s true-crime podcast, All the Gory Details, is forced onto hiatus when their conclusions in their first-ever episode, about the unsolved murder of teenager Lauren in their hometown seventeen years ago, are proven wrong. Their mistake ruined a life, and Stevie and Nate are still reeling from the consequences.

Still, when a fresh murder frighteningly similar to Lauren’s is brought to their attention, Nate is adamant that they should resurrect the podcast. He tells a hesitant Stevie that this is their chance to redeem themselves, and maybe even to solve the murder for real. But when Nate becomes fixated on the podcast above anything else, Stevie begins to wonder if she really knows Nate after all…

When a second murder changes everything, it suddenly seems as if Stevie is inside one of her own episodes. How well do either of them really know what happened back then—or each other?

Great storyline

I really enjoyed listening to this audio book. The storyline kept me hooked and also kept me guessing even near the end. I will be on the lookout for more from Lucy Goacher

Lots of twists and turns

Small secrets

I read the author’s first book “The Edge” and really enjoyed it, so when Small Secrets came out I downloaded it from Audible having listened to the sample.
Wow! This is the best narrated book I have listened to, Nate and Stevie come to life courtesy of the two excellent actors who put feeling into their parts.
The story moves along at a good pace with lots of imaginative murder scenes, and the twist at the end - just brilliant!
My only criticism is the title, Small Secrets has nothing to do with the story and sounds like a romance - not likely to be engaging to a male audience I suggest. Such a shame as this book should appeal to men and women, particularly those who enjoy a psychological thriller.
Looking forward to Lucy’s next book…
