Summary

Some good aspects but an unlikely tale
Good enough characterisation for the main players. Not so good on lesser characters. Dee seems to have given up her nightly binge drinking habit from book one. The plot is even more unlikely than that book. Much of it makes no real sense. I’ve given four stars overall. This is generous. I think I won’t listen to a third story, if there is one.

love interest beneath the surface was nice touch. The team are good characters and it's a shame that there's no more in the series yet. very enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this book and didn’t want it to end I really hope there’s another one in the series coming up soon - with Steve Worsley narrating as he kept me gripped throughout

Highly Likable Characters
Have thoroughly enjoyed both novels in this series. Steve Worsley does a great job of bringing the three highly likable colleagues to life. The Pagan angle was intriguing, with a few unseen twists. However I would have liked further resolution to Emily‘s story, as feel this ended rather abruptly, as did the stories of the other sacrifice victims.

Poor effort
The storyline is so weak it's almost childlike. The dialogue between the characters is so stilted it stops them coming alive although the narrator does the best he can. Who the good guys and the bad guys are is immediately obvious. After the grand finale I couldn't help but feel I'd heard it all before. It's a shame because book one was really good. Not recommended sorry.

Disappointed
Such a disappointment I enjoyed book 1 so much that I put this on request when released, what a waste of a credit. The storyline was weak and at times predictable, with very few wow moments, the characters were bland and boring it was difficult to get enthused about them . Steve tried hard to make the characters and story work , but even he couldn't make this story enjoyable.
