Summary

A haunting hair-raiser resurrected with a NEW recording and NEW narrator.

“His prose mesmerizes…Koontz consistently hits the bull’s-eye.” –Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Rachel's request for a quick and clean divorce enraged her husband. She’d never seen Eric so angry, so consumed by pure and terrifying hatred. Then, in the heat of the moment, Eric was killed in a traffic accident. Shocked and relieved, Rachel had nothing left to fear. Until Eric's body disappeared from the morgue—and suddenly, Rachel is being stalked by someone who looks just like her dead husband.

What a read !!

As usual Dean Koontz didn’t let us down. Page after page of griping writing loved it all.

Good, but……

Rather dated tale made frustrating to listen to as the narrator seems to be unable to pronounce a large number of words. She should have pre-read it first. Spoiled the experience

A cracking read

I’m a big fan of Dean Koontz and this is the second time I’ve read this one. Highly recommend.

Good read!

I like the way this book morphed into the horror genre and the credible story surrounding it. Surprisingly enjoyable foray into the author’s alter ego when it comes to genres and one that I heartily recommend.

One of the worst books I've listened to

Had a funny and witty review that explained why this is a very gad book but it got lost in the update process so I will not lose any more time trying to reproduce it.
Besides i was really inspired since I wrote it after finishing this abomination of a book.
Just read the other proper reviews of people complaining and you will get a better idea about why this is crap.
I agree that it does not feel like Koonz wrote this or if he did he is going downhill fast.
Best way to describe my experience is to imagine a old and sick dog that you know you should put down as quick as possible but you just cannot until the bitter and inevitable end.
This book does not get better.
This book goes nowhere.
The monster is stupid and predictable, things are thrown in at random and go nowhere.
Do not waste your time except if your really want to see how bad it can get.
And I was a big fan of Koontz.

What happened to Dean Koontz 😖

I just can’t read/listen to this trite - soppy and sloppy - reading like a third rate romance novel 🤮🤮🤮 - I got to chapter seven but I just couldn’t put myself through it anymore 😢

Zombies sigh

It’s probably a fine novel if your imagination can stretch to Zombies. Just couldn’t finish but you might want to.
