Summary

The Greatcoats are back - and this time it's personal.

How do you kill a Saint? Falcio, Brasti and Kest are about to find out, as someone is doing just that, and they've started with a friend.

The Dukes were already looking for ways to weasel out of their promise to put Aline on her father's throne - but with Saints turning up dead and Church Inquisitors pushing for control, rumours are spreading that the gods themselves oppose her ascension.

The only way Falcio can stop the country turning into a vicious theocracy is to find and stop the Saint killer - but his only clue is the iron mask encasing the head of the Saint of Mercy, which prevents her from speaking. And even if he can find the murderer, he will still have to face them in battle - and this may be a duel that no swordsman, no matter how skilled, can win.

Highly entertaining.

Book three is as entertaining as book one, if anything the characters are now more familiar and carry the story.

Great read!

Good listen

Excellent blend of cultures, myth and fencing though I'm curious what lies beyond this land?

Compelling, exciting and heartbreaking. Loved the characters, humour, mythology and culture. Joe Jameson’s narration is consistently superb and evocative.

Brilliant as ever

Sebastian De Castell is a master of intrigue. This particular book is fantastic for mystery and intrigue but also character development. Read perfectly by Joe Jameson as always and a great addition go the series.

The most epic of adventure stories

Not only does the narrator's talent keep reaching new heights with each new book but Sebestian just keeps finding new ways to shake the world of Trystia and reforge it's heroes, new and old.
Absolutely loved it from start to finish! And his acknowledgements always make me feel humbled to have been allowed to participate in his genius imagination.

Awesome

I laughed, I cried, I wanted more.
Good job there's another one.

Joe Jameson is one of the best narrators and Sebastien de Castell is now among my all time favourite authors.
