About this listen
From USA Today and Amazon Charts best-selling author Meghan Quinn comes the much anticipated sequel to the best-selling royal romance, Royally Not Ready. Full of sweltering heat, suspense, and mystery, Quinn surprises you with some twists and turns while also delivering a perfect happily ever after.
I have two responsibilities as the new heir to the throne:
- Get married.
- Have babies.
Sure, becoming queen one day is part of those new responsibilities, but as long as King Theo is in charge, I don't have to add a coronation to my list.
That's why I find myself in the throes of wedding planning, pre-wedding classes with my broody, overprotective fiancé, and counting down the days until we can finally say I do.
But with every day we grow closer to our wedding, we seem to grow apart.
Our commonalities are tested. Our faith in each other is questioned. And our safety is threatened. The only thing working? The command he has over me in the bedroom.
I keep telling myself, it’ll all work out. We just need to make it to the wedding day. Except, when the day finally comes, everything falls apart.
We might have made it through the last few months together, but now I'm not sure we're going to make it out of this alive.

Not as good as the first book!!!
I loved the first book but this one I just felt it dragged on. I did find it funny in places and in others I just skipped chapters. This one just wasn't for me. The narrators did a fantastic job.

Enjoyable
Royally In Trouble follows on from Royally Not Ready. In this continuation of Keller and Lillys' story, we see how they are coping with the pressure of the upcoming wedding and life as royals. I love how versatile Meghans writing is. She's added a level of suspense that we don't normally get from her and I really enjoyed it. This story had laughs but was full of angst and drama, a fair bit of miscommunication and lots of spice. Meghan always writes her characters with amazing chemistry and this book was no exception. Royally In Trouble was a satisfying confusion to the Duology and a very enjoyable story.
I listened to the audio of this story which was really enjoyable. We get 3 different narrators and I liked how Lilly and Kellers narrators were present in each chapter so it really was like listening to a movie. I especially enjoyed Lillys narration I think Samantha Brentmoor did a really god job of portraying Lillys character and really brought her to life.

Love this action filled romcom!
Are they ready to get married? After listening to Royally Not Ready, I couldn't wait to see the wedding of these two. The Princess is on her way to being married and take over after her grandfather, King Theo. There are a lot of preparations for this, and while this couple has incredible chemistry, the stress is getting to them. Not only do they have to go to marriage classes, but threats are coming in and Keller extra diligent. Things may not go as planned though, and the wedding may be too much for this couple. Will it go off without a hitch? I loved, loved, loved this story. A bit of action and definite angst kept the story interesting! At times I wanted to shake both Lilly and Keller for their actions, but as the circumstances come to light and truth is evident, it's not only an eye opener, but shows how true love prevails. I loved the chemistry between these two, the warmth of Lilly's extended family, the true power of the regal King Theo and everything there is to do with it! It's an easy, exciting listen that had me sleuthing and rooting for love.
Samantha Brentmoor picks up as Lilly with out a hitch. She gets into her head and creates that stubborn, independent, yet vulnerable woman Lilly is. Her voices fit each situation and had me with every emotion. John Hartley comes in where he left off as the alpha male Keller is. He easily slips into character, keeping him focused and aware. I love his gruff anger and teddy bear heart. Add in James Joseph as the evil one, a better fit could not have been made! This is a fantastic and fun story and made a great weekend listen!

An Angsty & Thrilling Royal Sequel! Terrific🎧📚🎧
Meghan Quinn pens an amazing sequel to her hilarious, laugh out loud, romantic comedy “Royally Not Ready” and while there is still humor, shenanigans, and witty dialogue in this book, the storylines take more of a serious turn, as do characters lives. Lilly Campbell and Keller Fitzwilliam will be wed soon and the two can not keep their hands off of each other. Their royal wedding is coming up, and so are the threats, Keller tries to keep Lilly from finding out, but she finds out about some of them. Someone is trying to make a power play and there is a mole in the palace and this is starting adding stress to their relationship, she could sense him pulling away. And then the unthinkable happens, Keller takes off the night before the wedding, leaving Lilly broken hearted. But all is not as it seems, not that she knows this, no one in the royal family does or expects otherwise. And after some time, they try to push her to move on and she goes along for the sake of the king, but she is not really ready for that. There is a lot going on in this book and the story is cleverly plotted, with plenty of drama, angst, mystery, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Not to give anything away, I will only say Lilly had no idea of the power play going on or threat to the throne, herself or to Keller, but when everything comes to a head, she is no shrinking violet. Meghan Quinn, thank you for another entertaining and thrilling visit to Torskethorpe and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Samantha Brentmoor and John Hartley do an amazing job voicing the roles of the lead and secondary characters with James Joseph coming in as the villain of the story and he plays a villain so well. John Hartley mastered his role as Keller, grasping every side of his personality including his strength and determination. Brentmoor steps in as Lilly and performs the role with perfection, also grasping every side of her personality, her fierceness and her wit. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the character’s emotions and have you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen!

Straight into my top audio of the year list.
Holy hot king with a filthy mouth! This audio was AH-MAZE-ING!
Straight into my top audio of the year list.
Side note: I appreciated the message before the book started about the change of narrator—nothing irks me more than listening to a series only to have narrators switched on me—and having that knowledge beforehand made a world of difference.
ANYWAY, without giving away any of the gory details...
Samantha, John and James brought Keller and Lilly's story to life with passion, energy and so many emotions that I came close to tears.
Their story was dramatic, super steamy (in parts), painfully raw, and heartwrenching—while still garnering a few chuckles and snorts.
I'm honestly a little numb after finishing it, yet, my heart still hurts for Keller and all the pain he had to endure.
Diagnosis: EMOTIONAL OVERLOAD WITH A SIDE OF BOOK-HANGOVER.
While I had frustrations with their lack of communication throughout their story, I understood that it was something they needed to address as a couple.
And while I felt the epilogue was a teensy bit rushed, I did so enjoy the way it was all pulled together at the end.
Highly recommend listening to this book!

Chef’s kiss
The audiobook is *chef’s kiss* perfection! It’s duet narration {sweet} and has 3 of my fave narrators…Samantha, John & James(quickly becoming my favorite Brit) give so much life to Keller, Lily & those who wish harm upon Torskethorp🤐
Lily & Keller are as sexy & combative as ever. I love that their dynamic hasn’t changed even though their lives are changing so quickly. They gave many challenges both by nature & by Torskethorpe’s enemies.
Will their love be enough to save them??? Meghan wrote a delightfully fun, sexy, slightly angsty, definitely heartfelt story…about royals (not my usual go to read but I love this power couple).
💕fave quotes📖
“…If it’s easy, it’s not worth your time. The hard in a relationship is what bonds you.”—-soooo true!
“What’s this?” “It’s for you. I thought I would give you a little present before we walk down the aisle.”—-YESSSS! 1000 times YESSS💕
With my beautiful Lilly alongside me, there’s harmony even when there’s chaos. There’s joy even when there’s trouble. If I’ve learned one thing, it’s that a well-loved life becomes a well-lived life. And that’s my plan forevermore.—-for a guy who’s not the best at communicating he sure is a swoon fest at expressing his feelings for Lily🥰

This is what happens after the HEA
I didn’t think Lilly and Keller’s story would have had anywhere to go after they got their happy ever after in Royally Not Ready. How wrong I was. I’m thinking this book was even better than the first one. The pressure’s building for Keller and Lilly as the wedding preparations are underway. Doubts start creeping in, and then comes the drama. Believe me. I did not see this one coming. So many little twists and turns that build and build and then wham. We have suspense and treachery, all leaving us guessing as to where this story’s going and who’s the actual bad guy. Bet you can’t guess. An emotional rollercoaster ride with the usual MQ sexy bits (my favourite), and of course the hilarity, the smiles on my face kept coming. Samantha Brentwood did a stellar job as Lilly. John Hartley again was the perfect Keller, and James Joseph comes in as the perfect villain. A fantastic story, perfectly written with MQ’s trademark nuances. Absolutely loved it. Royally In Trouble is book 2 in the Royals series and should be read after Royally Not Ready. I received a complimentary copy of this audio. This is my honest review.

Lily and Keller!
Lily and Keller’s story continues, and it takes us on quite the ride. As the wedding day approaches tensions continue to mount and the stress is having an effect on their relationship but not their love. Lily finds herself struggling with the events of the day and she is about to find out that the surprises are far from over.
All Keller wants is to serve his country and Lily however he allows the opinions of others and some unexpected news to question his conviction that they should be together. They are about to find out that not everyone is happy they are together and the lengths they will pursue to keep them apart.
This story had it all between the fun moments, the suspense and the angst. Despite all the challenge they must face it only reinforces that they belong together and makes their love and their relationship stronger. The narrators did a great job at bringing out both the insecurities of the characters, their strengths as well as the emotions of their story.
