Andrew Breitbart
About this listen
Known for his network of conservative websites that draws millions of readers everyday, Andrew Breitbart has one main goal: to make sure the "liberally biased" major news outlets in this country cover all aspects of a story fairly. Breitbart is convinced that too many national stories are slanted by the news media in an unfair way.
In Righteous Indignation, Breitbart talks about the key issues that Americans face, how he has aligned himself with the Tea Party, and how one needs to deal with the liberal news world head on. Along the way, he details his early years, working with Matt Drudge, the Huffington Post, and so on, and how Breitbart developed his unique style of launching key websites to help get the word out to conservatives all over.
A rollicking and controversial read, Breitbart will certainly raise your blood pressure, one way or another.

Hugely important book
Racist... Far right... Hate filled... Sexist... Homophobe... Yadda Yadda Yadda if you consider yourself a conservative or even a classic liberal. If you believe in free speech and loathe the pernicious narrative peddled by the mainstream media, the political left and centre and the ngo tsunami then youve probably been called these things and worse.
If you want to secure freedom and truth and our natural rights for our children in the face of the Soros funded attack on democracy. Then this book is a must read.
If you are part of the problem then prepare to deal with the righteous anger of millions.

Really interesting & enlightening.
I was unable to put it down. Very human story. Andrew describes how Bill Marr setup to destroying him. I've watched this done to the 'left's' opponents many times in the UK too. One conservative constantly interrupted whilst all guests, host and audience attack without evidence, mercy or self reflection.

Important historical book !
Now, more than ever before this book provides an insight into tactics and strategy of the progressive left. It’s a roadmap to understanding the motives, methods and means of political discourse.

Excellent insight into a hidden world.
Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this man's journey. Trump's success was only possible due to men like Andrew. The intolerance shown by the left and their inability to argue effectively will be their downfall. Intimidation is not persuasion. Thought he glossed over the mass support by all mainstream media for the Iraq invasion which turned out to be so catastrophic. Would have liked his analysis of that, as it was the left and the right MSM fully supporting the lies and misinformation on behalf of the govt to take US into that mess which has had so many disastrous consequences for the whole of the middle east and Europe.

Just as relevant today.
I wish I'd known about him when he was alive. A tremendous loss to freedom.

Understanding Trump's America
I heard this book referred to on a podcast and I occasionally read articles on Breitbart news, but I didn't know much about Andrew Breitbart himself. What do I know now? Well, he seems to be a figure in the mould of Steve Bannon, opinionated, smart, funny and well read. You might not agree with his politics but at least he seems to be someone pushing a different agenda to the leftish liberal consensus that the media undoubtedly promotes. The book is a little bit out of date and a bit American - I didn't know about the Acorn video scandal, and could have cared less - but I'd forgotten about what a lying, snivelling snake oil salesman Bill Clinton was. As the Lewinsky scandal was reviewed in this book, I was astounded by the people corralled in at the time, the politicians and so-called intellectuals, who tried to defend Clinton's behaviour. Clinton might look sane compared to Trump, but while the latter talked about grabbing women by the pussy, the former just did it. Because he could. Breitbart uses the extensive examples of Acorn and Clinton to dissect how the media defends the liberal agenda while conservative views are buried in the rubble. Again, that's maybe not so much in evidence today, but it's interesting to see it exposed. There's no doubt in my mind that there's more than a grain of truth to Breitbart's argument that controlling and shaping the cultural mood shapes the political one. It's not the other way around. And I also think that Clinton and Obama were way ahead in that understanding compared to where the Bush Republicans were. When I thought about it, it did seem that Bush was saved, in a way, by 9/11, which paused the media from continually portraying him as a bumbling, incoherent Texas good ole boy. It's an interesting listen and I feel I learned quite a bit from this book. I left it feeling that Breitbart had a lot more to add to the political and media world, for better or worse, if only he'd lived to deliver it.
