Summary

20th July 1969: Neil Armstrong becomes the first person to walk on the moon. We all recognise this to be one of mankind's greatest achievements. Yet what did it take to make John F. Kennedy's dream a reality?

In this remarkable audiobook, Professor Richard Wiseman presents a pioneering study of the mind-set that took humanity to the moon and shows how you can harness and use it to achieve the extraordinary in your everyday life.

Combining personal interviews, mission archives and cutting-edge psychology, Wiseman embarks on the ultimate voyage through inner space. Along the way he identifies eight key principles that make up the Apollo mind-set, including how pessimism is crucial to success and how fear and tragedy can be transformed into hope and optimism.

You will discover a series of practical techniques that you can use to incorporate these winning principles into both your professional and personal lives. Whether you want to start a business venture, change careers, find your perfect partner, raise a loving family, get promoted, gain a new qualification, escape the rat race or pursue a lifelong passion, these techniques will help you to reach your own moon.

Totally Compelling

I love how the author simplified rocket science to create entertainment and pure education. The narrator made it more captivating and with the analogies, I feel totally bold to shoot beyond the moon.

Really useful advice to achieve more

I find this Interesting entertaining, particularly due to the way it follows the story of the Apollo moon mission throughout the book. It also contains a lot of valuable actionable advice for how to achieve more, both individually or in a team.
Great advice to use in businesses where innovation is important.

Really enjoyable

A great way to rethink the way you behave, but also a fantastic historical piece. If only people could let go a little of the narcissistic self interested ways, imagine what we could achieve.

Inspiring

I always enjoy Richard Wiseman's books. Because this book related to the moon landing - which I followed with great interest as a child (and, of course, wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up) - I found it particularly interesting and helpful. Very well read, too.

I can't give this an 7 out of 5 or I would.

This book was recommended by a friend who had bought the hard copy. I bought the audible version to listen to in the car and what a book!! The information about the issues that the Apollo team faced, challenged and overcame is just brilliant. It goes into the rel unknown details that no one really ever thinks about. It goes on to tell you how you can use this in every day life and work. The little tests and challenges are really thought provoking. I was delighted to find out that I am of a flexible mindset.
Really fantastic listen/read.

Thank you Richard Wiseman for the book and Peter Noble for your interesting and pleasing narration.
