About this listen
Today's parents are constantly pressured to be perfect. But in striving to do everything right, we risk missing what children really need for lifelong emotional security. Now the simple, powerful "Circle of Security" parenting strategies that Kent Hoffman, Glen Cooper, and Bert Powell have taught thousands of families are available in self-help form for the first time.
You will learn:
- How to balance nurturing and protectiveness with promoting your child's independence
- What emotional needs a toddler or older child may be expressing through difficult behavior
- How your own upbringing affects your parenting style - and what you can do about it
Filled with vivid stories and unique practical tools, this book puts the keys to healthy attachment within everyone's reach - self-understanding, flexibility, and the willingness to make and learn from mistakes.

Listen to this!
Possibly the most practical and useful parenting book I have listened to. Thorough and therapeutic, looking at both the parent and the child and their needs. For someone who is ready to look honestly at themselves and their family.

Beautiful description of human behavior
I have to listen several times because english is not my mothers language and you have to be a fast thinker to listen and practice straight away and to identify where you strugle on the circle. Overall I will keep it and listen whenever I feel reminding the right way to parent.I would recommend it to any future or present parent!

Must read
I really enjoyed this audiobook. The way it is narrated totally absorbed me in its contents and I was able to identify myself on where I am going wrong...from listening to this I learned that I am a safety sensitive parent and ways in which I can "react" by being with my children rather than always trying to get them to be self reliant and move on without beibg with them during their difficult emltions. In a way I could see that is how I was raised and now I was applying it in my parenting. For my children and their future I chose to listen to this book and I am so happy that I foind it!
Thank you for a great insight!

Excellent read, easy concepts
I loved this book. it was recommended to me by a well renowned child psychologist working in Ireland and I must say she was right. A beautiful concept, the circle of security, it was easy to take in and the bigger, stronger, wiser and kind mantra is an easy concept to remember when doing day to day parenting and decision making. There is a big focus on babies and children under 5 too, so highly recommend for new parents to read also, as well as lots of info relevant for older kids and some on teens (especially the last chapter) also.
