Summary
Contains all three of the Magic Sequence books.
Jessica's Challenge
With her future decided, 18-year-old Jessica and her sisters sneak off for one last night of fun. Breaking into their mother's lab, the three of them are thrust into the glitchy online world of Puatera.
Dahlia's Shadow
Dahlia has spent her entire life in Lila's shadow. Being the quiet twin, she shied away from sports and never excelled in any of the ways her sister did. Yet, thrown into the glitch-filled world of Puatera, her sister is no longer there to protect her, forcing Dahlia to uncover hidden strengths or be buried by her weakness.
Lila's Revenge
Always a fighter and a gamer, Lila finds herself in a dungeon with two dumbass guardians and a monster to kill. After she escapes the dungeon, her gamer life is then enslaved to a demon, who has only one thing on his mind - training her to kill his new opponent, an NPC named Maddie Vies.

It’s all coming together.
This was a really interesting story arc, each of the three stories feature one of three sisters trapped in Puatera, their stories coming together and pulling in storylines from the first four books ready for the final book eight. As with all the books it was a very good narration.

Another interesting boxset in this series
This audiobook is another one in the series that is well suited to being a boxset rather than individual books, these stories of the three sisters are not overly long and are intrinsically linked to each other as well, they can be read as a standalone set but their stories all link back to the main series itself as well.
All three books follow a similar format with the sisters entering the game as new players, unfortunately a glitch means that unlike other players they are not able to logout of the game at all. The main thing that separates the three stories from each other are the classes and aptitudes of the sisters along with their real-life personalities and how those impact their ingame character too.
This was another strong performance by the narrator, nicely enhancing the stories and adding to the enjoyment of the book.
Overall, since these books all share the same format, they are not as distinctive as the ones in the first boxset, but are still a good listen that nicely progresses the main story too.

stop the Cliffhanging
Picks up right where the last book left off and how could it not given it left on a cliffhanger...
though it shifts the view point again...
which is a theme for this trilogy...
each book this time has a different protagonist, meaning that it feels a little rushed at times and just when you get comfortable with one protagonist, the book is done and we switch to someone else, somewhere else...
in many ways it feels like these 3 books are mostly introducing characters and setting up for the next book...
on the other hand...
I'm bloody well looking forward to the next book, so despite what I've said could be taken negatively, it's not entirely so...
my biggest gripe is I wanted more time with each character, and isn't it always like that when reading good books??
Miss Barnett's does a great job, and I feel confident that had I heard the books individually I'd have scored her higher, but 3 books with few overlapping characters would strain any VA to not fall back on the same voices...
however I'm not reviewing the individual books, but the collected trilogy...
honestly I think it's the same for the writing...
it's just a little too much content spread over too few pages...
I'll keep from mentioning butter on toast ;)
