Very wordy
As a new sleep deprived mum I don’t think such a wordy book is helpful. The author could have put points across much more succinctly.

Amazing
I am only about half way through this book but I have to say so far it is simply amazing.
I swear Alexis Dubief has looked into my life at the moment and written a book about it to help me! She has made me beleive that I can take these steps to help baby and me sleep a lot better and that it is ok for baby to have a dummy and for me to lose my marbles from time to time.
Definatly a must read!!

Lifesaver
Highly recommend this book to every expecting parent, yes, expecting. Do not wait until baby is born, read it beforehand so you can save precious time later.
Love the way this book is written, it funny and very insightful in the same time. It gives a lot of brilliant tips and explanation of common issues/situations. It helped our family a lot. Read it a few times, each time found something new and useful.

Ignoring up to date research
I was not expecting this book to champion the cry it out method and conveniently forgetting to mention the up to date research on how harmful it is.

Not for me.
This book offers some useful techniques but ultimately encourages CIO. It doesn't consider the emotional maturity of the baby. Fuss it out at 2 months is not the same as your child crying aged 2 because you tell them they have to leave the sandpit. Babies are not born rational and with an innate ability to self soothe, they learn it over time. Some statements are contradictory, very anti co sleeping due to SIDS but encourages swaddling post 2 months.
Funny and well written/read, it offers one woman's opinions on sleep. Some of which are helpful but some of which go against nhs recommendations for sleep training. Not for me.

Not recommended
Agree with a previous review that this is far too wordy. I appreciate she's trying to keep it light but honestly the audience of tired parents just wants the facts asap not slightly lame comedy. I am really trying to give the book a good try and will come back if I learn anything that helps. But so far it's quite frustrating.
