About this listen
A new teacher. A dark secret. A bunch of kids caught in the middle.
Emily has just moved to a remote Maine island, but it feels like a different planet. Everything seems to be a mystery. Is her new job really in danger? Is the gorgeous lobsterman really interested in her? Is it possible an entire town is that obsessed with basketball?
And what is this dark secret no one will talk about?
Emily will have to choose: Try to fit in, or fight for what's right.
You'll love this book because it's realistic, faith-filled fiction.

Amazing story of putting your trust in God!
This is the first book I have listened to or heard of Robin Merrill, but I am so glad that I was given a free code from Audiobooks Unleashed to listen to this book on Audible.com. This review is my own honest opinion of a book I really enjoyed.
When Emily takes a job as a teacher on the island she has no idea what she is getting herself into. This island, Piercehaven, is absolutely crazy about their students playing basketball! Basketball? What in the world is so great about it? Lol well you are about to find out if you listen or read this book. Emily is an amazing leading lady for the book. She is one of those teachers that actually cares about her students but she certainly doesn't understand basketball! I loved the interaction between Emily and her students, even the ones that weren't sure about her. Even learning how to teach these kids was difficult because of you guessed it, basketball! This story has some real suspense that had me on pins and needles. There is also romance and mystery all rolled into a book that also has Christians in real to life situations. I really enjoyed this first book that I have found out is a trilogy and I am going to start listening to the next book immediately! I'm glad that it isn't a new series or I would have had to wait for the next release. I definitely recommend this to anyone, young or young at heart that enjoys a good book!
