Summary
Binge listen to the addicting, intense, and emotional series that started it all with: (1) Pepped Up, (2) All Pepped Up, and (3) Pepped Up & Ready.
My best friend’s that guy. You know the one. Popular. Quarterback. Trouble. And clueless about my deeper feelings for him. So I’m focused on my other love, running. I want to qualify for cross country nationals, and I don’t need to be distracted by Jace Wilder’s latest shenanigans.
Good thing there's a new guy in town. Even better, Ryan Harding is a running star, and it seems I've caught his interest.
I can handle long miles and hill sprints, but guys? That’s an entirely different challenge.
No cliff-hangers. While the series is best enjoyed when listened to in order, each book is a complete story.

Jace and Pepper!
This boxset includes the first three stories of the Pepper Jones Series in one collection. We have the privilege of getting to know Jace and Pepper who are best friends when they are in high school where he is the popular quarterback, and she is a successful cross-country runner. Their friendship develops into love and this story takes you on their journey complete with all their triumphs and losses as their relationship is challenged by both their decisions and others in their lives.
Filled with emotion, drama and twists I really enjoyed having these stories in one set. I thought the narrator did a great job at bringing out all the angst of the storyline and the emotions that the characters were experiencing. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession🎧

Pepper is addictive
There is something about the writing style of Ali Dean that I adore. This is books 1-3 of the Pepper Jones series, and like me, you will be drawn in and hooked. Pepped up: The story of Pepper is not much different than a lot of high school students in most ways. She is on the track team and is a gifted runner. With winning Nationals as her goal, she is interested in training. But that does not keep her attraction to her long time best friend Jace from popping in. Though they run in different social circles, they have a bond that keeps bringing them back together. And now with Ryan, the new kid in town that is a runner as well, Pepper has some conflicting feelings. The question is what will she do? And what will happen to her relationships with these two? All Pepped Up: Book two takes us through the beginning months of Jace and Pepper's relationship. It's fun, flirty, angsty, and full of all those teenage issues. We have a little mean girls, a little partying, some social media stunts as well as bringing family closer together. The sports aspect is still important, but the focus is more on the relationship of Pepper and Jace, with Wes, Gran and Annie. Pepped Up and Ready: Pepper is addictive! I love her story. Maybe because she is not the expected winner. I know, she is a spectacular athlete, and is dating the star quarterback for their local college, but she doesn't fit with those Barbie types. This part of the story lets us know just that. There is so much going on. Pepper's senior year and getting ready for the Nationals, Jace's football season, their continuing relationship, those that follow Jace and getting to know Wes a little better. It's late teen drama at it's best, with some real meat to the story. Ali Dean is a wonderful writer, including real life scenarios and actions we can all shake our heads and relate to.Time to get into the next boxed set!
Stacey Glemboski narrates this series. I first found her with her Sundaes for Breakfast series narration and I love her style. She is able to infuse life into the story and make us feel a part of it. Perfect for new adult, she has a youthful sound, but can turn and be Gran in an instant. A great talent for a great book!

YA Romance
The Pepper Jones series is a YA contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stacey Glemboski.
This is the first series of Ali's that I have read, and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future. The series is a sweet high school romance with the drama that is included when you are that age. The series follows Pepper and Jace's relationship. In book one I wasn't a big fan of Jace but as the series progresses, I am coming around to him. I look forward to jumping into the next book set that has books 4-6 to see where their relationship goes from here.
Stacey did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this series if you like YA romances, contemporary romances, sports romances, friends-to-lovers romances, or slow burn romances.
