Summary
Football and winning are all that matter.
Finding love wasn't in my playbook - especially not with Sadie Benson.
All I ever wanted was to be the best. In high school and college, I was the top player on the field. As an offensive coordinator for the Nashville Fury, I'm on the fast track to becoming the youngest head coach in professional football history.
Until a feisty sports reporter with big brown eyes, a seductive smile, and the most irresistible curves I’ve ever seen shows up in the locker room.
Given my job, she’s completely off-limits - but I can’t stay away from her, no matter how hard I try. Not only is she gorgeous and sexy, but she lives and breathes the game just like I do, and she’s had to work damn hard to prove herself in this world.
If our relationship becomes public, it could ruin everything we’ve spent our professional lives working for.
Are we willing to risk our careers for love?

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Charming & Engaging
This book is fantastic! It's a sports romance that grabbed my attention and held it till the end. I adored the two lead characters, Sadie Benson and Hunter McAvoy. Sadie is a sports reporter and is good at what she does, but being a female in a man’s world has its challenges. She wanted to be a sports reporter since she was a young girl and she knows her sports and has earned respect from both her coworkers and the sports teams. Being a reporter is in her blood and she is always looking for the next scoop and she a lead on a story in a local sandwich shop. Hunter was on his way for an interview with the Nashville Fury’s for the offensive coordinator job and stopped to get a cup of coffee in a nearby shop. It was there that he first meets Sadie and it would not be the last he saw of her because he took that coaching job. That was a great chance meeting, and I loved their interaction. The two had another chance meeting while Sadie was on vacation and he was out scouting for players. They clicked instantly and spent time together, aware that their careers made a relationship impossible. But their chemistry was too strong to ignore, and they couldn't deny their feelings for each other for too long. They decide to give a relationship a try, but would keep it between them to make sure it worked before revealing it to their bosses. I loved how everything played out in this book, the writing, plotting and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. This fun and entertaining story has the perfect balance of drama, charm, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Chelle Sloan, thank you for this wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Lia Holland and Michael Gallagher did an amazing job bringing these characters and story to life. They understood the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that suited that character, sounding believable and just as I imagined that character to sound. Gallagher aced it as Hunter, delivering a swoon-worthy performance, accent and all. Holland’s Sadie was just as amazing, grasping every aspect of her personality, her fierceness and determination, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Fantastic Football romance!
Some books just hit the right place, and this first book in the Nashville Fury series did that for me! Hunter is the new offensive coach for the Fury, and is destined for greatness. At least he hopes he is, not only to prove his worth but also show his father he has what it takes. Sadie is a sports reporter. She is thoughtful with her questions and writes nothing but the truth. Having a source in the front office of the Fury helps get her the breaks she needs and now she is going to interview the new coach. And our story begins. The two are immediately attracted to each other, but know that the circumstances of their jobs does not put them in a position to be in a relationship. Unless it's a secret. Quiet times, secret vacations, dates in other towns, it all is so fun until it isn't. Chelle Sloan gives a wonderful look at the inside life of a coach. The trial and error, the frustration and accolades. She also takes Sadie into the man's world of sports, proving herself to be exceptional. I loved these two, their route to happiness and my heart.
Michael Gallagher is a favorite and he comes through as Hunter. Very confident but yet not, very driven yet discouraged, and so in love, he gives Hunter each feeling with an ease that is realistic and easy to hear. Lia Holland is amazing as Sadie. She is ambitious, and free loving, yet comes through with pain that hurt my heart! These two made this listen even better and it was a wonderful weekend story.

Great Forbidden Romance
This was my first Chelle Sloan's book. This is the first book in the Nashville Fury Series, a Sports Romance. Hunter and Sadie's story is beautifully written, and emotional. This is a great forbidden romance. Michael Gallagher and Lia Holland did an excellent job bringing these characters and this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Off Track, the next book in the series.
