Summary
In the third installment of the Odium series, having distanced herself from Mikey, Nina is on a mission. She's seeking a woman who could be the answer to all their problems...or just another nightmare made reality.
Travelling alongside Nova, the two women are faced with countless threats and inexplicable circumstances...just another day in the land of the dead.
But Nina is changing, feeling the strain of this life, and beginning to rethink the choices she's made and the woman she's become. New allies will be forged on this road of self-discovery, bonds will be broken, and old enemies will resurface. Nina will be forced to make a decision that could have devastating consequences.
However life is nothing without someone to love, or a family to love you in return. And in this new world, there is only one way to prove that love is still possible. Sacrifice.

Holy freakin sh**!! Spawn of a Deader!
I have devoured this book as much as it consumed every part of me.
Oh boy, this is definitely a hard one— 𝗢𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝟯 𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚- LOL hilarious, maddening, heartbreaking, gut churning, passionate, beautiful and soul shattering. Straight up ALL THE FEELS and my heart feels utterly destroyed!
I want this deader apocalypse to be over but I don’t think I will be near ready to say goodbye to these characters (by choice) or series anytine soon.
Claire C Riley again delivers a true masterpiece and took on the most terrifying soulful journey that strangely does not feel far from a very possible reality. I remain in awe of her creativity and about to bring so much life to her characters and story.
Nina is in a league of her own! I want to be just like her when I grow up.
That ending though! My heart cannot take it anymore— but you betcha I’m downloading the next book as l pen this review.

So many twists and turns, I am hooked
I am officially gripped by this series, I have found myself so invested in Nina, Mikey and the other characters that join them in their journey, that I am devouring all the words. Odium 3 picks up after the ending of book 2, although not at the part that I wanted following that cliffhanger; but rest assured we do get answers. With tensions rising between Mikey and Nina the book follows them separately as they both go on their own missions, Nina with Nova to find Deacon and Hilary and to discover the fate of their unborn child. Meanwhile Mikey is heading off on a recon supply run back to the mall.
The plot of this book is unrelenting! It did not stop! What Nina and Nova encounter along their journey was something I couldn't have imagined and I was captivated with how Claire wrote these scenes. Add to the mix the introduction of Joan AKA Crazy Pants and this book just gets better. That crazy old bat gave me so many laughs and brought out the dry, say at is it is sarcasm in Nina that I love.
When Mikey returns to camp things get worse and what he finds was an event I did not see coming. Claire loves a good plot twist and this is another one to add to her tally. The crazy train continues until the end of this novel with yet more twists and turns, leaving me wanting more of this world. Claire's writing during this book was fast paced and establishes the characters well, you quickly become attached to old and new, which in this world is never a good sign. Survival isn't always given to the fittest or the strongest it's simply luck and coincidence. I know 3 books in, I should know better, but I can't help it. The characters Claire develops get under my skin and then all hell breaks lose and I get blindsided with endless plot twists and I love it! I can't wait to see where the next book takes me.
