Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Read by award-winning narrator Jeff Harding.

**NOW A MAJOR PRIME TV SERIES STARRING ALAN RITCHSON**

After an epic and interrupted journey all the way from the snows of South Dakota, Jack Reacher has finally made it to Virginia.

His destination, the closest thing to a home he ever had: the headquarters of his old unit, the 110th Military Police.

Why? He wants to meet the new commanding officer, Major Susan Turner. He liked her voice on the phone. But now he's arrived, she's disappeared, and things are getting weird.

Accused of a sixteen-year-old homicide and co-opted back into the army, Reacher says nothing.

But he's sure as hell thinking of a way out.

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, Never Go Back follows on directly from the end of A Wanted Man.

Brilliant

Absolutely brilliant, better than the film by a country mile. The narrator could do with working on his lady voices though.

Would you listen to Never Go Back again? Why?

one second listening even better. Must say that Jeff Harding is one of the best narrators and always adds another dimension to a story with the range of his voice and acting ability

What other book might you compare Never Go Back to, and why?

sits well at the end of current Reacher series and leaves one wanting the next

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Loved the plane scene : perfect Reacher facing a problem head one and sorting it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes but impossible!

Any additional comments?

Another great Reach story

Where does Never Go Back rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

4 out of 5

What was one of the most memorable moments of Never Go Back?

Having read all the others I had to get use to Reach been given a voice different to the one I had given him. I wanted him to be a father and go on to have adventures with a daughter, but then they wouldn't be Reacher stories they'd be Reacher and co.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I love the detail Lee Childs gives to his stories.

Another steady Jack Reacher book

Would you consider the audio edition of Never Go Back to be better than the print version?

On a par with print version but easier to digest.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Never Go Back?

An interesting thought provoking plot with a few twists.

Have you listened to any of Jeff Harding’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Jeff Harding a great narrator, good tones and easy on the ear. Somebody able to make a good book great.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely a book I wanted to listen to non stop

Any additional comments?

If you've not read a Jack Reacher book before then this is as good a place to start as any. Listen to one you'll want to listen to more.

Another great Lee Child story

it will keep your attention for sure. not perhaps as 'thick' a plot as his other Jack Reacher books and does wrap things up a little quick but very enjoyable!

Another brilliant effort from Child!

I really love these books. They are a fantastic way to enjoy a little escapism. They are the thinking man’s (or woman’s) thriller. This one has been my favourite so far but I should point out that I have been ducking in here and there and haven’t read them in order. In this one Jack is rather taken with a woman’s voice on a phone and travels to meet her on the off chance they may get along. When he arrives he finds out that his mystery woman is in trouble and not only that, Reacher is faced with more than one problem of his own. What he should do is run for the hills but as always Reacher fights for truth, justice and the American way, he just can’t help himself! We get to learn a little of Reacher's past here, along with a 50/50 chance at how his life could or could have been depending on how the chips land. It is as always packed with thrills, amazing characters and plot lines. If you like excitement, mystery, a little violence and a whole lot of intrigue… then these are the books for you! Enjoy 😁
