Don't miss this book

I enjoyed this book. I did think we were introduced to too many characters in the first couple of chapters. It took a while to get them straight and I have listened to a few books in this series, so I know the regulars. Once I worked out who every body is I really got into the story. There is some quirky moments that were a lot of fun and was based on the home life drama. The story is balanced out with two mysteries and family antics such as a lost kitten, hidden rooms in a mansion and a basketball match. This worked and I actually liked the home life because that was were the humour and banter took place. I like the characters and as I said there is a lot of side characters. There is two mysteries in this story, the side one helped us learn more about the two main characters and the murder that effected Milo. The main mystery held a lot of suspects and is told by a number of them by giving you there point of view and a love the way Milo's mind works and he solves the mystery. A good series that I would visit again.
When the detective's wife attends a book club meeting were one of the unpopular ladies dies, his sergeant steps up and runs the investigation. With help from Former private investigator Milo to lend a hand, they soon realize that everyone at the meeting had a reason to hate the victim. She was planning to release her book, a book that accused a software guru of murder. When all the copies start to disappear Milo starts to suspect that it contains something the killer doesn't want anybody to see. The first problem is working out when the killer had the opportunity to poison her and what poison was used? Can he workout if it happened at the meeting which book member is the killer? At the same Milo is finally ready to look into his father's death but will turning over stones lead to another attempt on his life?
I liked the narrator. He gave each character a different voice but I felt the way the story jumped from the different characters he needed to take a slight pause before continuing on to the next one.
