A bit too simple and repetitive
Was Mindfulness in Eight Weeks worth the listening time?
not really. minimal content and often repeated then various meditations which you just have to sit through. not quite a cd of meditations or a lecture series so I don't think i could focus on the meditation or learn anything new.

A worthwhile struggle
I'm still working through this, having felt the need to repeat weeks on occasion. It's a well-presented self-improvement tool that I'm going to come back to in order to refresh my skills. Well worth it.

This will transform your experience of life
Mindfulness, is the most powerful tool for life transformation in my experience, after 20 years of depression that could keep me bed ridden for weeks, later diagnosed with BPD. all the therapy I’ve done all the work I have done on myself for so many year. Mindfulness is the most powerful. It’s an ongoing practice and takes a bit of perseverance, if you want and intro and to cover the whole practice go for this course. It’s read clearly and written concisely, delivered in a warm, friendly tone, at a perfect pace to absorb and digest, the is the go to course imo, If you listen and practice over 8 weeks you will be much more in the moment more frequently. You may appreciate ‘what is’ on a deeper level and imo more importantly learn to ride life when its uncomfortable, even painful, you learn not to plan to fix the problem, but first to endure and accept it mentally and emotionally in a calm wise loving approach. One moan is that the publisher or audible haven’t bothered to name the chapters. Due to the work being narrative and then exercises you need to skip back and forth to, it would be great if it say for example ‘8. Being aware of sounds’ - ‘12. Sounds meditation exercise’ So I could find my way around at a glance. Other than that I rate it 10/10. Do the work and enjoy the change. Help the world to shift. Powerful techniques

Great improvement in sleep

Very interesting but word of warning
I started this and found that it was extremely interesting and useful. However I became a little despondent when in the first chapter the author recommended the meditation session using track 1. Without the track running it then immediately cut to after that session and the author talked about the session etc and how often to use it. I felt cheated as I was unable to practice the meditation sessions (there were lots of practical sessions run throughout the book) and so felt that the book was based on an overview of mindfulness and not a practical guide. I finished the final class (10 weeks / 10 chapters) and then the recording went to chapter 11 which was the track 1 meditation session referred to in chapter 1. So if you are considering this audio course please be aware that when the author refers to meditation tracks to you have to jump to the relevant chapter for that particular track. Hope this helps. I will now be able to start listening again with the insight of the practice material.
