So relatable!

Listening to this book I could relate to so much of what was being said, the situations faced and the thoughts and feelings associated with those situations. It’s empowering to know I can now deal with those situations in a much different way and the answer isn’t at the bottom of a bottle! Highly recommend this to anyone who knows they need to cut down but don’t quite know how to, just yet! Listen to this book and you will!

Recognition of the lasers to mindful drinking

I enjoyed this as someone sharing their experience of going sober to recognising how to drink alcohol by being mindful and not mindless. This is not a book about sobriety.

Very insightful listen

Really enjoyed this and certainly not a gender specific book (M36 here).

So much was familiar and the recognition of triggers and tips for managing drinking in excess are fantastic. looking forward to putting them into practice.

Very practical useful and inspiring

Really useful everyday tips to cut down, good mix of context and wider understanding with practical. I found it too much on ‘this is what you can tell other people about not drinking’ as if it’s not acceptable not to drink. But maybe is more if it’s time (2017), now I think everyone’s on the wagon! Good for people who know they drink too much, aren’t full blown alcoholics and are very socially cue-d to drink.

Good solid advice

This is a good book to get your head in gear and in the right place when it comes to thinking about drinking. It does make a nice change from all the "cut it out for good and go sober" books. This helps you put in place a realistic way to drinking AND think to cut down.
It's more prosecco & pesto, rather than pints and pork scratchings which may put some off, and there's a lot of meditation, mindfulness talk, but the clue is in the title. Well worth a listen if you're starting to lose control of how much booze you put away in the week, but don't want to quit altogether
