About this listen
With his lover imprisoned in a Russian gulag, the Gray Man will stop at nothing to free her in this latest entry in the number one New York Times best-selling series.
A winter sunrise over the great plains of Russia is no cause for celebration. The temperature barely rises above zero, and the guards at Penal Colony IK22 are determined to take their misery out on the prisoners—chief among them, one Zoya Zakharova. Once a master spy for Russian foreign intelligence, then the partner and lover of the Gray Man, she has information the Kremlin wants, and they don't care what they have to do to get it.
But if they think a thousand miles of frozen wasteland and the combined power of the Russian police state is enough to protect them, they don't know the Gray Man. He's coming, and no one's safe.

Okay’ish
It was quite a good story until it went full blown Ukrainian propaganda. The author obviously hasn’t seen the Minsk agreement. Why is it authors seem to think it’s ok to ram their views down my throat. Another author I won’t waste my money on.

Not you’re usual story but same old bad guys
This is yet another fantastic gray man story involving all the characters I have fallen in love with. Not the usual story but the usual bad guys. I am a huge fan of this series and could listen to any adventure scenario 6 might find himself in.
This book was the perfect follow on to the last book’s ending. My only issue (and when I say issue I mean my internal frustration) is this book could be twice as long (only because I finished it in 2 days and now have to wait a whole year for the next instalment. Long may poison apple reap their brand of justice.

Awesome another great book by and incredible author
All the other books I read are just stocking fillers compared to the gift that Mark Greaney delivers with each new novel.
This one is a roller coaster ride of page turning adrenaline fueled tension that keeps you wanting more.

One of the best in the series!
Absolutely awesome. From start to finish, I absolutely hated the idea of pressing pause on this one. In fact, anytime anyone came over to me and started talking while I was listening to this, I had to resist the urge to glare at them. This book was easily one of the best in the entire series, which, for the 14th book in a fantastic series, is seriously impressive. All the characters we've gotten to know and love, are all back. I'm particularly impressed by Zack, who's grown so much as a character since his introduction in Book 2. And not to give anything away, but the ending just made me really really happy. I'm endlessly frustrated that I'll have to wait at least a year for the next one, but as long as it's as good as this one, I'll be more than happy.
Oh, and Jay Snyder hasn't missed a beat. There were a few very impassioned little speeches dotted throughout the book, and Jay handled them all flawlessly. And he captures Court's despondent mood perfectly during the first half of the book. Brilliant casting for this series, and he continues to prove it.

Court Gentry on top form!
This is another success for Mark Greaney: geopolitics, characters, relationships - including high points of being human, and action. A great listen.

The crazier the better for me. I’ve waited so long for this one and it doesn’t disappoint.
