A Book To Change Your Life
A book to put into action in my life. I've no doubt that will things will change for the better.
I got this book because I feel lack confidence. I have a few more books by Jack Cranfield so I trust his content, and he is a master at narrating.
I've been through the book twice now and am seeing such huge changes in my life. I've got a notebook full of notes! The only 'negative' thing about this book is that I cannot flip back and between pages and notes like I could with a hard copy. So I decided to get the hard copy too😃

great book to build confidence
I've listened many times and Jack is good at explaining scenarios and there are plenty of things to relate to, the key is to follow his action steps and not just to listen, thanks Jack

Not imprest it's easy for people who have had a bit of luck and made a few quid to talk like they they brought it all to them through there thoughts and making more money off weaker minded people.

I Confidently Recommend!
This book is really good. I found it funny and very, very engaging..
I cannot say that all the strategies were new, they were not - but they reminded me of what I should be doing - setting goals, positive self-talk, affirmations, etc. The stories in the book were good and the book was very easy to listen to. I really enjoyed listening to it.
I think this is a book that I will listen to again, partly because I know that I have not done any of the homework!

Some practical ideas
It was only after I bought this download I realised the author was the same guy behind Chicken Soup for the Soul. I'm afraid that raised some prejudices as what I've heard about that book led me to expect a cloying, sentimental, God-bothering listen here.
I was pleasantly surprised. There are elements of the above - perhaps more new age spiritual bunkum than religion - but generally the content is good humoured, grounded and practical. There was only one chapter that felt a little too "American" for my tastes and I ended up fast forwarding.
I've read a number of books that claim the benefits of affirmations and I've always considered their apparently magical properties to be unsubstantiated. Here Canfield provides the first logical explanation as to why they might work I've come across which means I much more likely to persist with them.
The style of reading is good too. Much of the recording is of Canfield presenting to a small, appreciative crowd. But don't let that lead you to expect one of those awful shouty 'motivational speakers'. I found his style engaging, considered and often amusing.
In between these sessions, Canfield summarises and explains direct to the listener. It's a style I found I really liked.
One final thing that amused me. A few years ago a guy I worked with decided he was going to become a motivational speaker and I went to see him once. He told a story about he had wondered down a beach tossing stranded starfish back into the sea. Tears welled up in his eyes as he described the profound effect this had on him. Listening to this tape I realise he nicked the whole story from Canfied!

Some great insights and a fun listen too
Some great insights and a fun listen too. Jack Canfield is a great speaker and easy to listen to. I also like that he explains the logic behind some of his suggested techniques which are at times counter intuitive.

Very helpful for me right now!
I previously purchased this and couldn't get into it. Now, things have changed for me and this book is SO relevant and helpful.
It's lovely listening to Jack's voice, really comforting/wise and 'sorted'.
