Superb book but..
The narrator does such a good job of portraying everyone, except spacemarines every time I’ve heard them speak throughout both books it’s like I get sucked out of the story because the voice sound so..wrong almost child like but apart from that it’s an excellent book

the first book was a bit overwhelming in scope, but this continuation got me properly hooked. going straight into the concluding third book.

Annoying Templars
They really are the most whiny Astartes in my opinion, I enjoyed this more than the first in the series but I think that was because I found by speeding the narrator to 1.2 x he actually sounds palatable

Entertaining filler
Whilst the first book set the scene and introduced a new saga this felt like a filler that could have been concentrated into the preceding and following books. Entertaining but not much happened.
