a book to read
Love and sorrow, family affairs, hope and mercy - nicely weaven into a beautiful story. It's difficult to put the book down once you start reading(listening).

I loved living with this family through many trials it took me right out of my everyday life. Some lovely characters who loved God through it all.

Captivating story
Such a beautiful story that exposes the effect of emotional trauma in child hood but it also shows how the cycle can be broken and how love and strength can overcome so much. There is a lot of references to the bible and as a Christian I could reflect on the statements but for some this may not be the case. Finally the narration of this wonderful story was superb.

Families
I like this book because it about family value and what their expectations are of their children taking the wrong what ever it was to make good of the situation we may find ourself into. Praying is a powerful gift for forgiveness .

the annoying narration was hard to deal with
story was quite good, which is the only reason I persevered. the narration was so unsuitable- everyone, apart from the men, sounded like the grandmother from Tweetie and Sylvester. I tried changing the speed, but nothing worked; the voice was so miscast. as a freebie, I listened to it, just to pass the time until my credit arrived.
