Good but very self-indulgent

This volume was good but spent way too long on the MC smugly rubbing his powers in the face of family, old friends, and acquaintances. It was fun at first but after a while got very repetitive.

after being sucked up and in by the first 3 books back to back I was patiently waiting for this fourth installment after the nail biting ending of the third the story of the forth was by far the most enjoyable with the humour and the glorious voice acting done by heath miller it had me by my balls the hole time

this man ( Heath miller) and these story's I ..... Need ......MORE I can't wait for April

Best of the series

I don't know how Shirtaloon did it. This book is by far the best in the series. Without including any spoilers, I presumed that this book would be rubbish considering how the last ended. Oh, how utterly foolish my mindset was.

Not what I expected

Honestly the whole going back to home world meme was cool and genuinely didn't think I was going to enjoy the book as much as I did. Book 5 just came out and hope to see what happens when Jason can hop over back to magic land. And another fantastic performance too never thought I'd love an incorporeal shadow entity this much.

Best book in the series

This book is the culmination of all the others. So satisfying to read. The last part is kinda boring, but the first part is just amazing

magic came to Australia and I'm glad it did

at first i was sceptical about moving the story to "our world" but it quickly made sense and became funny, heartwarming, and action filled. great book

Really enjoying the whole series

Rich characters and an unpredictable storyline that keeps me gripped. Love the use of traditionally dark traits being used by the somewhat flawed protagonist for good (mostly). Also great humour appropriate to the story and characters.
