Summary

Going Rogue is the follow-up to the hugely successful thriller, Going Dark: the book that introduced the world to Tom Novak.

Tom Novak is back. When a spate of deadly terrorist attacks hit the streets of London, Tom finds himself thrust into the middle of a fight for the survival of all he holds dear. When the attackers hit closer to home than he could ever imagine, Tom is forced to make a choice between his duty or his conscience. In doing so, he enters a series of increasingly dangerous worlds, in the darkest corners of humanity. Can Tom and his colleagues get to the bottom of a plot which threatens the very fabric of society? Will they stop the terrorists before it’s too late? When faced with the ultimate choice, which way will Tom go?

Fantastic

Another griping story and yet again always leaves you wanting more.
Great storyline with characters that are developed as the story progresses.

2nd book in an enthralling series

I've really enjoyed listening to the Tom Novak series for the second time now. They're well written and paired with a complimentary voice over which really works. I just wish there were more than the three.

Enjoyable listen.

Neil Lancaster really paints a good picture and seems to know what he is writing about. Mike Rogers again does a good job considering the amount of characters and accents. Looking forward to book 3.

A bit pretentious and tedious

I found both the narration and the writing a tad pretentious, like it was aimed to impress a very unsophisticated reader (listener). It was also linguistically badly edited, with some descriptions being repetitive (echoing the same words or phrases in very close proximity, like in the passage about the funeral or the prison fight). Mispronounced words like "renumeration" (remuneration) or prostate (prostrate) grated on me quite a bit as well on top of the peeves mentioned above. This book is a mere stopgap until the new Damien Boyd or Nick Louth is available.

Well worth a listen

Mike Rogers does a good job of narrating as there is so many changes of voices and accents which helps to keep the book and its twists and turns flowing quite well. I enjoyed the storyline.

Just What I Wanted to Hear

a full story of Tom and Buster getting into trouble together. The only change I would make to this story is to make it longer. I just love the relationship between Tom and Buster. There's something very genuine and familiar about it. The story itself is Also very good and again, I couldn't download the next installment quickly enough.

Exciting all the way

Keeps you listening way into the night, not sur about the pulling of finger nails out but the perpetrator gets his cumupance with a crushed throat, as i say keeps you listening.
