Some chapters written about my child
I didn't think I'd enjoy this book. It was recommended by a friend when I told her about one of my daughters tantrums. The book is entertaining and informative. I have changed tack and I've noticed my daughters confusion when things haven't gone as she thought a confrontation would. Worth a listen, you've nothing to lose.

A must for all parents of teenagers
This is a very clever and witty explanation of why teenagers act like they do ... and understanding that is a powerful aid to dealing with their issues and the difficulties inherent in relating to your nearest and dearest teens. It is full of moments where the authors put into words issues that the listener can relate to and give a logical explanation and insight. Much of it is common sense that gets lost in the fog of teenage angst, but they brilliantly put it into context and deflate the pressure. This should be compulsory listening for anyone with a teenager or a pre-teen.

Amusing but a bit thin in content and depth
Enjoyable quick book, certainly lightened the burden of raising teens these days but it's a bit light and airy. I wouldn't say if gave any real useful tools to apply in a practical manner

I found that some of it was helpful but not as much as I'd hoped.

Great book for everyone
I found the book helpful, enjoyable, illuminating and hopeful.
I have passed it on to friends, colleagues and clients as many people struggle to understand what is happening in adolescence and worry about their role as parents.

A real eye opener
I wish this book had been available 10 years ago. Oh wait it was... I wish I had known about it.
There isn't really much guidance in it about how to do parenting - but it's more about how you should see parenting. And if you see it right, you'll do it right.
Really easy to listen to. Narrator is mesmerising.

Light heartedness
Good narration brought the book alive. The traumatization of the interactive parts was more impactful in the audiobook them in the printed book.

Good for Daughter /Morher
Reading the book through the stories as if conversations of parent Teenager was a good way to connect and relate to Teenager's own voice and they way they think, my only issue was the voices and conversations felt to me of a daughter and Mother which is useful if you are a Mum and have a daughter. Personally I have a son I didn't find a connection with them half as much. Girls and boys have different issues so If your a Dad with a son I would try to look for a book the concentrates more on Father / Son as you will likely get more out of it
