Very insightful

I was struggling with my youngest son, I didn’t understand a lot of his anxiety etc. This book has truly helped me seeing things in a totally different light and finally understand the world he is growing up in.
My only negative would be the narrative. Very static and robotic, which is a shame as the content is excellent.

Great resource to help shift your perspective.

Reffering the teen as "she" is 50% annoying. Great and meaningful examples and metaphors. Highly recommend listening this book. Will help you shift your perspective towards and through the eyes of your teen.

Incredible. Just incredible.

As a parent of teens and younger children I have to say I feel hugely enlightened and I only wish I had found this book long, long ago. Please, if you have a teenager or even young children, please download this book. Within just a few minutes I can guarantee you will be sat there with your mouth open, wide eyed, planning how you are going support your child through the difficult time they are living in. Our children are growing up in a much different world to the one we grew up in and we must be prepared as parents...

Good book if it is your first one on teenagers

The book concentrates more on giving context and building understanding of issues than on practical ways of dealing with things. Good if you need that sort of context, if you reed this when your child is a pre teen and this is the first book you grab in preparation for the teenage years.

Great content, let down by poor narration

I have listened to around 2 hours if this book and the content is great.
Unfortunately the narration lets it down to the point I have had to stop listening. The book is narrated as though the intended listeners are small children. With a very slow and robotic type voice akin to that of a sat nav.
The only other observation is the repeated reference to teenagers as she.
I will now have to buy the book, as what I have heard so far is well worth reading.

useful but irritating

This book has some good and some bad points, I tried to return it but audible would not allow it, but actually I have found it useful after persevering with the annoying parts. The book constantly refers to American society, which seems a bit narrow minded and also voice sounded whingy and whiney it did however give some really useful tips on communication so overall was glad I listened and think it will be a helpful book
