Felix Nevarre, slayer of the Ravager King and destroyer of Domains, isn't going down without a fight. The Guild Tower has fallen, and Haarwatch has been split into factions vying for supremacy, and the people despair as monsters overrun the city.
Bloody battle is waged through the streets, but Felix’s power has grown—his core stuffed full with the spoils of his victory—and he's looking to put it to use. When the Inquisition advances its grip on the city and waves of monsters attack, he pushes back.
A new faction rises, gathering beneath Felix's banner those that are too weak for the Guilders, or too faithless for the Redcloaks. The goal of this faction isn’t domination, but survival. In their midst, a dangerous idea begins to brew. It sings in the Spirit and ignites the Mind, while the Body trembles with bated breath. A blue flame blazes away in the hearts of the fearful, leaving behind only hope....

Amazing!!!
What a conclusion to an arc, the action, the mystery and progression, everything felt perfect for this arcs conclusion but with still more left to explore of the world.
Csnt wait for the next book

Still disappointed.
I am still very disappointed that Travis Baldtree has not had his vocal chords surgically enhanced to provide a canine yet high-pitched hawk screech for pit. The rest of his characters and the story lines are as superb as ever. straight onto the next book.

I finished this book ages ago but saw they had added to the series only to find another 4-5books so re-listened to the series to continue again.

It's good enough but
I enjoy the series overall, but there are some glaring annoyances that beginning to drive me up the wall...
revenant, they seem to be 99% of the enemies. there's one notification that reads "you have killed 294 revenant, xp earned" 😒
Another problem I have is the singular speed of the story, there seems to be only action, go go go go! No break from start to finish, for a long book such as this I sometimes am having to pause and think upon resuming play where in the seemingly 26 hours of combat I'm upto.
Lastly, I never got on the Gary Stu bandwagon, but I feel that Felix just has infinite answers to any and all conundrums...
as I say I don't dislike the series but I am not feeling eager to revisit it once finished. It'll likely be a one and done deal.
Travis is great as usual, that mean could read the daily mail and I'd listen thruout sitting at the edge before my seat.

Better and better
Most series lose steam over time . This series just gets better and better . One of the greatest fantasy series ever written . Hopefully a tv series will be coming soon .

Why is Felix soooooo slow in the uptake. He is so god damn naive, Its infuryating!!!...
I kinda like the series, but Felix just seems dull in the head sometimes. Especially when it come to forsight of his own issues/corruption of the maws power.
