About this listen

From the author of the bestselling Mill Grange series...

It has always been Maddie Willand's dream to take over her father's plant nursery. But after his sudden death, she is devastated to discover that she might lose The Potting Shed forever.

Maddie's bossy older sister, Sabi, is joint owner of the nursery, and she's convinced that the best thing for both of them would be to sell up. Determined to keep the business going, Maddie can't afford any distractions, but staying focused might be harder than she thinks when–after a major garden centre chain puts in an offer–her search for legal advice throws her into the path of attractive lawyer Ed...

As frost begins to fall over The Potting Shed, will Maddie find the strength to save her father's legacy and open herself up to new beginnings?

Easy listening

Lovely story, a pleasure to listen to with the smile factor, a little predictable but didn’t retract from the story line

Light and fluffy but better than a romcom

Jennifer Ness, the narrator was really versatile and enjoyable. I liked this book for a Xmas freebie. The story was a bit sluggish in the middle and Sabie (?sp) was slightly predictable as a hideous sister who redeems herself. Maddy is likeable enough.

Nice easy listen

Family dynamics were key to the plot but were drawn out at some points making it frustrating and wishing the author would move things on quicker.

The accents were were a bit too posh to be believable for this day and age and didn’t draw me to the characters.

Enjoyed in general and as a freebie - good value listen.

Gentle ‘family coming together’ story

Not overly fast paced but full of likeable characters throughout…except for the in-likeable baddie that all stories need.
