Good as always
I enjoyed this book because it was interesting, unusual and entertaining. Lynda never disappoints in my eyes. Liked the characters and the story

Disappointing
I was disappointed by this novel. I wasn’t expecting a middle aged passed over policeman. Dithering and vacillating about decisions made in the U.K. His character was bland, he daydreamed of achieving greatness for a single accidental run in with a career criminal supposedly dead. It was all a bit of a farce. The criminal was a more interesting character. I think the author would have been happier writing about the criminal and how he achieved his wealth and position. This all ended with like a damp squib, no bang just a disappointing fizzle. Chalk it up to experience, stay with Tennison.

Very poor
I have always enjoyed Linda La Plante’s books, listening to many of them on long car journeys as they have always entertained us. Unfortunately the plot of Framed (which I now see was one of her early ones, published in 1992) was - unlike all her others - unbelievable. Worse still the delivery of the narrator (Tim Bruce) was dreadful with the wrong intonations all over the place.
To anyone who is a first time listener to La Plante I would say do not read this one, or if you have done so and agree with me that it is poor, do not think this is typical of her work and try another, perhaps one of her later ones.

Wasted credit
Really didn’t enjoy this at all. Felt excited with a new addition as I usually enjoy Lynda La Plante but just not this one.
