Summary
*Seven half-Walker girls. Seven worlds. One chance to save them all!*
Abigail Swish's life is nothing to brag about: gang-ridden city, orphanage style accommodations, and a matron who's kinda on the evil side.
Not that she has to worry about that for much longer. She'll turn 18 soon, and then it's goodbye compound, hello dangerous streets of New York City.
Of course, as her luck would have it, she doesn't make it to 18 before her world is turned upside down. One ambushed meeting with an accent-bearing, sword-wielding stranger, and suddenly her entire life as she knows it is a lie. Apparently she was just stashed on Earth for safekeeping and has been lost to her family ever since. And it's time to return home. To First World; a land of unimaginable beauty.
Of course, one should never forget how the old tale goes: beauty often hides the darkest secrets.

A fabulous audio
Surviving on earth in a girls compound since being a small baby, Abigail abs her friend Lucy dream of escaping war torn post apocalypse New York. When they are transported to first world Abi finds herself with a family and life she never knew. Without being given time to settle in she has to go on a rescue mission to save the only family she has ever known.
Packed full of drama and excitement this is a great start to a new series, with excellent world building, loveable characters and a great plot, I was glued to the page.
After listening to the audiobook I can also recommend it, the narrator really brings the story to life, with a great tone of voice and perfect pace, I love her different voices for each of the characters, she makes it easy to listen too and lose yourself in the story

Good start, now for more....
I feel this is another nice little series I could easily get in to. If you liked the Gender Game series by Bella Forrest I feel you will easily like this. It's technically young adult ish, but I'm a big kid I guess and I found this very easy to listen to on my daily commute.
I'm intrigued to see how the series pans out as I feel it has a lot of potential to grow on me even more.
Red / Abigail / Arabella seems like a feisty female character so it will be nice to see how she develops and tackles the crazy tasks ahead of her.
The only character I don't really get is Lucy, she seems like an added extra with no purpose unless they are scene setting for later books. Who knows?????
I like the narration the pace and story could be a little faster but over all I feel its a real grower. Enjoy....
