Summary

Fast Friends is a warm and funny romantic novel from Sunday Times best-selling author Jill Mansell.

For fans of Lucy Diamond, Cathy Kelly and Marian Keyes.

When the chips are down, who better to turn to than your oldest friends?

When bored housewife and mother Camilla Stewart impulsively invites her old school chums for dinner, she hardly imagines that the evening will shatter her comfortable existence. But Roz Vallender and Loulou Marks are no ordinary guests.

Roz, stunning and self-assured, is notorious as a TV presenter and superbitch whilst the reckless Loulou owns Vampires, the trendiest wine bar in town. Horrified to discover that husband Jack has been playing around, Camilla determines to make some changes. With a little help from her friends, she soon finds out that life in the fast lane is a lot more fun, and the future still holds plenty of surprises.

The Jordy accent was questionable

But other than that. A good listen, thoroughly enjoyable. Give it a go if you like a light read

Enjoyable

I enjoyed listening to this, my first, Jill Mansell book. The only criticism I would have is that the narrator can't 'do' Scottish accents! Other than that it was fun to listen to - real chick-lit.

Listenable ...

The story was ok, nothing too gripping but an easy listen. The narrator’s attempts at Scottish & Irish accents we’re not so easy to listen to!

Lovely easy going story

Lovely story. Flowed nicely. Kind of guessed or rather hoped how it would end. Funny parts too but mostly easy listening.

Excellent

This has to be one of Jill Manselks best. An absorbing story with believable characters. Plus kid of detail and not an immediately obvious ening.

Great book

I really enjoyed this book, it always takes a bit to get into any book but I got into this very quickly. It's quite a long book but really great. I love the characters and the audio reader had a good relaxing voice. Definitely worth reading.

Good fun

This was a good fun book, an enjoyable easy listen. The narrator was good, with the exception of her accents - the Scottish was really bad but that aside, would recommend.
