Story, performance, drama, humour, it had the lot.

SBT as always delivered a fabulous performance. But of course they couldn't have done that without such a good book. This is becoming one of my favourite series and long may it continue. For the colony!!!!!!

Continued Excellence

Simply that. The story, as always, is well written, the performance is, somehow, even better than last time, and the characters remain compelling and engaging. Simply a joy to listen to.

loved it, built well on

love the ant focus in this one, here's hoping there's more of this. world building is good, some foreshadowing involved. the whole thing is starting to really evolve into its own.

So much action and narrative depth

I was skeptical to this series due to the weird setting, but I'm completely sold on it by now, and am giddy to read about the progress of the ants. This book specifically had less of the RPG elements in it, and honestly I think that was perfectly fine, both leveling and narrative components intermingle to make a better experience. Oh and the narrators are brilliant, I love the voices, can't wait for the next installment.

This is a great listen!

I should really go and paste this on books 1-5 because this series is one of my favourites of recent times; it's an interesting take on the system litRPG thing and has some really deep world building and great dialogue. Jeff hays knocks it out of the park but I have to acknowledge Annie Ellicott here too - at some point Annie has mastered her craft and her narration in this series is 5 star. This series has enough stats to keep me interested without it being too "crunchy" and they're designed to be skippable if you don't want even that much. Overall a fascinating setting, lots of really interesting characters and well written action and characters - all the books in this series are definitely worth a credit although I think there's an omnibus of 1-3 now too.
