Great help and strategies
In this house, we have multiple people with ADHD. My daughter just turned 18 and for most of her life, ADHD has plagued her. She constantly goes through self-doubt in not thinking she is good enough or that people are just being nice to her but really don't like her, that she can't do anything right. As she got older, I joined FB groups about women with ADHD and realized, those feelings do not go away with age. Instead, they get worse because now you're an adult and there's more added stress. So, I wanted to find her a book to help counter the negative thoughts and this book has been great. I took a listen to it first and then I had her listen. She felt that she was being validated with her feelings and emotions. I realized how much negativity and stress she is under with trying to manage all these thoughts and emotions.
The author does a great job of not making statements that are generalized but instead very specific to ADHD. The narration was great and felt very empathetic and was easy to follow along with and stay engaged. Great book for women with ADHD. You are not alone and this book helps to remind you of that.

Brilliantly helpful!
This book helped answer questions/and certain quirks I have, it’s done in an enlightening, no pressure but fun way too. It was engaging throughout. Gave me moments like omg that explains so much and moments of me having a giggle. You can tell a lot of research was done for this book too. For instance, I couldn’t read whatsoever until between 16/18 severely dyslexic and I suffer with anxiety too, I never knew that these conditions all went hand in hand.
Brilliantly narrated and so wonderful to see this book in audio form, I read this previously on my kindle but to know this is now accessible to people from those who don't read/have time to those who cannot read. This is such a helpful book, its amazing that people now have the option to listen to it.
The book goes for relaxed and understanding. Well laid out, at the start of the book it tells you what each chapter is tackling. It covers so many parts of daily life, offering compassion for the struggles we have and suggestions for how to improve. I found chapters 7 and 9 to be especially useful. Chapter 7 is all about work balance, how to navigate through the struggles. I for one can be a huge procrastinator or I am working hard but I don’t believe I am doing it right. Chapter 9 is all about social relationships and romantic relationships, I struggle with social situations a lot and pretty much will bury my head in the sand haha! This gave me so many tools to put into action in daily situations to tackle situations like I just mentioned.
This book never claims to be what it’s not and encourages you to seek help if you need it, but it offers knowledge and knowledge is power. It's super easy to read and hold invaluable information for someone seeking some kind of understanding and guidance through living with the turbulence of having ADHD.
I think it's so amazing that books like this are being created to take the stigma off of these types of conditions and to acknowledge them.
I would recommend this to anyone, whether you have ADHD, suspected or not. Even if you don’t have ADHD at all, I guarantee you will still find information within this book that’s helpful to you or maybe for someone around you.

Easy listen (perfect for ADHDers!) with lots of practical hacks to harness your strengths.
As a late diagnosed ADHDer (confirmed at age 49) I have taken the time to listen to lots about ADHD in Women (although this is still an under researched area). There is a lot of great reading/listening out there but I really liked this book because it focuses on harnessing your strengths. Elsewhere there is a lot written about weaknesses and faults that come with an ADHD diagnosis which can leave you feeling broken so this is the complete opposite. Estelle gives everything a positive spin and arms you with easy hacks to build on your strengths. The hacks are easily digestible, and the book is presented in a way that means you can dip in and out as and when you need. This would be a great first listen for anyone discovering they may or are ADHD.
