Summary

Griffin Flaherty wants nothing more than to create a perfect Valentine's Day for his lover, Dr. Percival Endicott Whyborne. Dinner at a fancy restaurant, an evening at the theater, and a romantic interlude at home should do the trick.

But a new client with an urgent case puts Griffin's plans in jeopardy. A magic talisman has been stolen, and if it isn't returned by sundown, disaster will befall not only on the thief but the innocents around him.

Can Whyborne and Griffin track down and return the amulet by nightfall, or will dinner reservations become the least of their worries?

Note: This story takes place between the events of Widdershins and Threshold, and is narrated from Griffin's point of view.

Great series

Well written series with Lovecraftian themes. This is a short valentines story set after Widdershins.

I Love Widdershins.

Set between the events of the first and second Whyborne & Griffin series. I enjoyed this lil' bitesize Widdershins adventure.
As someone who struggles to read off a Kindle (Dyslexia) i was happy to see at least one of the Whyborne & Griffin short stories had an audiobook release.

Honestly i suck at reviews i just really enjoy the worls Jordan L Hawk crafted in this series and any opportunity to revisit it is an instant 5 Star from me.

A Valentine story.

This was the Audible edition that I listened to. Well narrated by Julian G. Simmons. Listening time: 1h 7m.

Griffin Flaherty wants nothing more than to create a perfect Valentine’s Day for his lover, Dr. Percival Endicott Whyborne. Dinner at a fancy restaurant, an evening at the theater, and a romantic interlude at home should do the trick.

But a new client with an urgent case puts Griffin’s plans in jeopardy. A magic talisman has been stolen, and if it isn’t returned by sundown, it may unleash disaster not only on the thief but the innocents around him.

Can Whyborne and Griffin track down the thief and return the amulet by nightfall, or will dinner reservations become the least of their worries?

I’m not a big fan of the horror type stories, but this is one of those series I must admit is so well written with a great set of characters, that I’m hooked!
