About this listen
Deep below a desolate Utah mountain lies the largest platinum deposit ever discovered. A billion-dollar find, it waits for any company that can drill a world-record three-mile-deep mine shaft.
EarthCore is the company with the technology, the resources, and the guts to go after the mother lode. Young executive Connell Kirkland is the company’s driving force, pushing himself and those around him to uncover the massive treasure.
But far beneath the surface, where the rocks are so hot they burn bare skin, something has been waiting for centuries. Waiting...and guarding. Kirkland is about to find out firsthand why this treasure has never been unearthed.

Bad language throughout spoilt the story.
Good story and the sound effects really made it stand out. There should be an age minimum as it is not sutible for young children.

Not a proper audio drama
I was so disappointed with this. I already have the audiobook, which I really enjoyed, so I was very excited to see that there was an audio drama version. But it is just a narrator reading the book, with actors voicing the dialogue. The narrator even tells you what sounds can be heard, instead of just incorporating all that into the soundscape. You just want him to shut up and let the actors tell the story through their dialogue. But that's the point - they haven't been given any proper dialogue, because this is a reading of the book, and not a properly written audio drama, which would have taken some effort on the producers' part, such as getting someone to actually write an audio drama. There is a lot of dramatic music behind the narration, which was just irritating. If it had been a music score on a proper audio drama, that would have worked fine. They advertise it as "a movie in your mind" or something like that. It definitely isn't. More like a straight to tv film, that you're watching with the audio description turned on. Why didn't they get the great Dirk Maggs to do this and give it the audio drama treatment it deserves? If you already have the audiobook, I wouldn't bother with this. End of rant.
