Summary
For most, a plane crash means the end of life. For Dusti Dawson, it's just the beginning...Dusti and her sister Batina survived the crash, thanks to a couple of brothers who are equal parts menacing and muscled. She'd be grateful...if they hadn't turned out to be delusional kidnappers, who believe Dusti's grandfather is some monstrous halfbreed creature bent on murder. Turns out Vampires, Lycans, and Gargoyles do exist - and they've been crossbreeding to form two hybrid races. Drantos, the man Dusti can't stop lusting after, is one of the most dangerous of all.
VampLycans Drantos and Kraven were sent to eliminate a threat to their clan. But when that threat turns out to be mostly human women, clueless of their lineage, plans change - especially after Drantos gets a taste of Dusti's blood. Now, he'll die to protect her. Even if that means walking away from everything he knows to keep her at his side.
Is her strong desire for Drantos reason enough to endure danger coming from all sides? Or should Dusti cut and run the first chance she gets?

great storyline and narration

Loved it!
Listened to this back in May & only now writing a review after I finished book 6 in the series. I love this genre so this book was an easy choice to purchase. Great story, has some real funny moments and Savannah really brings the story to life. Couldn't wait to read the next book.

Drantos
This story started of excitedly with the plane scene. Then it went from strength to strength. Love the interaction between shy Dusty and Drantos, so explicitly sensual and raw the chemistry between them.

FABULOUS
I got this audio book to make me walk more...... my feet are so sore from walking cause I didnt want the story to stop. loved it. alteady bought the next one

Mixed feelings
Ok story. First book by the author. I'm happy to see what all the fuss was about. I felt like there were missed opportunities to elicit action. E.g: In the last three hours, one romp and one action moment.
I'm not sure I'll buy the second book. The black dagger brotherhood remains my favorite in the genre.
N.B: I'm an avid reader/listener of paranormal romance stories.

Great read... if you can get over the female lead
Loved the story line and savannah did a great job bringing the characters to life.
I'm happy this wasn't the first one in the series that I read though, because I found Dusti - the female protagonist so annoying and off putting
She felt like those whiny judgy teenage girls that you just want to grab and shake hard or slap across the face for an attitude adjustment
It totally put me off wanting to read the next book - which incidentally is about her sister... no thank you!!!
Glad I started with book 5 and 6 first... but great series though, if you can hack the female lead long enough to enjoy it.
