About this listen
For Tartaglia and his team it is just a matter of time before the tragedy repeats itself.
Writing in the tradition of Ruth Rendell, PD James and Val McDermid, Elena Forbes has created a team of police detectives who are as intriguing as they are successful.

Disappointing
What disappointed you about Die With Me?
The plot was not very interesting, the writing was weak and the characters were confusing, it was hard to work out who was who it was bland and boring
Would you ever listen to anything by Elena Forbes again?
probably not
What does Dan Stevens bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
a accent that possibly adds to the story, I'm not sure, but he is a good narrator it was just a weak book.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Die With Me?
i probably wouldn't have bothered with the book at all
Any additional comments?

A Great Introduction To A Detective Series
Would you consider the audio edition of Die With Me to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print version but found the narration brilliant and the application of voices and accents spot on; with enough character variation without being overpowering.
What did you like best about this story?
I found the character development was strong, gradual and effective, something which can be missed in detective/crime novels where the mystery itself is so intricate and important. But I can't wait to get stuck into another novel with DI Tartaglia and his team and find out more about the (hopefully) ongoing back stories.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
Perhaps oddly, the opening scene. It was powerful and drew me in completely. And of course the very final scene that leaves me hoping that there is more to come in terms of this story and the characters it affects.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes; I actually did! It was only a 4-5 hour one but I listened while working online from home and was able to stay absorbed throughout. I had to occasionally hit the 30 second rewind when something I was working on made my mind drift and I didn't want to miss important parts or character names but was generally hooked throughout.
Any additional comments?
An easy listen with good characters and a strong story. Unpredictable twists and turns throughout that keep you guessing even when you do start to suspect. Highly recommended.

Not the full story.
This isn’t the full story of the first book. There’s a lot of the story missing.
